La Posada de San Ginés

Our Rural Hotel is located in the beautiful town of Miranda del Castañar, in the province of Salamanca.

This municipality has a lot of history, so it was walled. Our hotel is located within these walls, which gives it a special character. It is an aspect that we wanted to keep in our accommodation, because it is something very special that constitutes the essence of the hotel.

The building is a traditional house, with ancient but very well renovated construction. That is why the outer aesthetics is original and picturesque, perfectly shows its personality. To start, the house is next to the walls of the castle, something very important and unusual.

As for the facade, it has many elements that form a historical style set. The stone covers the walls up to medium height, topped by wooden beams. The rest of the walls are painted in beige and adorned by a beautiful wooden balcony. It is a gallery that travels half a facade, including the corner, with iron railings. In addition, this balcony is roofed and has flowers with flowers decorating it.

The windows are sculpted everywhere. They are made of wood and have beautiful lattices or bars. The input porch shows a stone arc and a large wooden gate welcoming all our guests.
The inn offers 6 rooms, all of them for 2 people. Therefore, the complete capacity is for 12 users. This encourages privacy and creates a very warm and cozy home environment.

inside, our guests can enjoy the community hall. It is a very picturesque stay: it has red sofas and striped hindering armchairs, rustic style. The walls are cobbled and others covered by wooden slats. In a corner is the chimney iron, covered by large stone slabs.

In addition, this room has a collection of old watches of different styles, exposed in a showcase.

Miranda del Castañar is a historical population, full of heritage and tradition, considered historical-artistic set. You can visit several sites to meet her:

• The Castillo, which began to be raised in 1451. is surrounded by walls, which constituted the strength of the fortress.

• The Puerta de San Ginés, an arc through which our hotel is accessed.

• The patio of arms, which is one of the oldest in the country and currently constitutes the main square of the town.

• hermitage of Our Lady of the Virgen de la Cuesta, which enjoys very good condition.

• The scribe's house, a stately building of great beauty.

In addition, we are in full Sierra de France, a mountainous region with several areas, such as the Sierra de las Quilamas or the Valley of the Batuecas.
