The village of Santillana del Mar has a medieval style that is observed on the facades of their houses, the main buildings and in the streets themselves. Totally pedestrian, with two main streets and a square where is the collegiate of Santa Juliana and Cloister, a national monument whose current construction dates back to the twelfth century.
We are next to the famous Altamira cave, the most marked place in rock art of our ancestors. Although they are currently closed to the public for their conservation, right next to it there is a museum where these paintings can be seen.
You can also cue to the Cabárceno Nature Park, a curious zoo in a natural environment. As well as the cave of "El Soplao", where to observe great geological formations over more than 20 kilometers.
