To enjoy the lively atmosphere typical of Llanes, it is recommended to walk through the Plaza de Santa Ana or in the surroundings of the square that presides over the Basilica of the Magdalena and the one that also gives its name, although if what we want is to see a place with a different character even from its design what we can do is approach the square with a medieval layout of Parres.

Going from the popular El Sablón beach we have two options, one is to escape from the people by directing our steps along the Paseo de San Pedro that accompanies the cliffs on the edge of the sea on the way to the hermitage with the same path name to the precious Playina; the other would be to head towards the port and visit the breakwater intervened by the Basque painter Ibarrola, who has managed to transform the gray of the breakwater that protects the town's marina into a discordant note of colour, the so-called Cubes of Memory.
