Elizondo is a town of Navarra of 3194 inhabitants that is located in the neighborhood of Pamplona, in the north of Navarre. It is a town of hidalgos with palatial mansions that cover architectural styles such as baroque, renaissance and late gothic. These houses and their different styles make this village a curious place worth seeing. X
Elizondo is located in the center of the valley of Baztán, sandwiched between the Pyrenean mountains and plagued by meadows in the plains, beech forests in the mountains, chestnut groves on the slopes, oak groves at the foot of the mountains and alder trees next to the rivers. In this valley live creatures such as the coipo, a mammal with characteristics similar to those of the beaver that is originally from South America.

Near this area you can visit the caves of Urdax, a true geological show of stalactites and stalagmites that have been pierced over the centuries by the Urtxume River. This river still circulates through the cave forming lakes that are worth contemplating.
