Apartamentos Rurales San Pedro

This rural accommodation consists of 3 fully equipped apartments where you can rest and disconnect very close to the border with Portugal. In total, each of the apartments can accommodate from 1 to 5 people. The three apartments are completely independent.

They are located in the old hamlet of San Pedro de los Majarretes, belonging to Valencia de Alcántara (Cáceres). Completely renovated in May 2023, where we have managed to unite modernity with tradition e innovation with a classic style.

A large living room,  first room we see when entering each of them. In some we can find a large sofa with cheslong, which can also be transformed into sofa bed, in others, we find large sofas. In front of them there is a large 43" Smart TV with USB connection and Internet connection, a fireplace and some stairs. We will tell you where they lead later, now we continue with the characteristics of the ground floor because, together To the living room, and going up one more level, are the kitchen and dining room.

The kitchen is very spacious and open , American style, and it differs from the rest of the rooms in that the wall on which it is placed is made of mosaic-type tiles. Then you can find all kinds of appliances. It also has a complete household items and kitchen utensils. Here you will prepare tasty dishes that will leave your fellow travelers with their mouths open.

You can taste all of them in the dining room next to the kitchen. It is composed of a large wooden table with 6 chairs, equipped with decorative elements in blue - like the kitchen and living room.

Now, up on the upper floor, we find the bedrooms. In total there are 2, both doubles, although one is equipped with double bed and the other with 2 single beds.

From the rooms there are beautiful views of the exterior ; Through them you can contemplate the green of the mountains and breathe tranquility. Beautiful natural light enters through the large windows throughout the day.

The bathroom is also on the upper floor. It comes with a spacious shower, plus towel sets for all guests. It also has a heated towel rail, very useful for cold days.

Throughout the house there is a complete air conditioning system, which also has a heat pump, and internet is available throughout the house via Wifi for free. As baby equipment, and upon request and availability, the accommodation offers a free cot, high chair, baby bath, bottle warmer, etc. Indicate that pets are accepted free of charge, always asking for extreme care with the use of sofas and furniture.

In the town of Valencia de Alcántara, which borders with Portugal and Badajoz, we find a site with important megalithic funerary constructions: "Dólmens". In fact, it is one of the most important sites in Europe in terms of the number of constructions of this type. Likewise, you can visit the Natural Monument of Berrocal de la Data.

The Church of Nuestra Señora de Rocamador stands out, which is built on top of another church – this one in Romanesque style – in which one of the daughters of the Catholic Monarchs was married.

In the Plaza de Gregorio Bravo there is a beautiful 19th century fountain made with Carrara marble. In Valencia de Alcántara there is a small Jewish-Gothic neighborhood where a synagogue still stands that looks very similar to the one in the town of Tomar, in Portugal.

You can cross this country in a short time and visit towns in the area, such as Marvao, Castelo de Vide and Portalegre, all in the Sierra de Mamede Natural Park.
