Castro del Duerna I

Castro del Duerna is a nice complex formed by 3 apartments that house different capacities. The first of these apartments is perfect for a group of 4 people. Fully located in a plant we access it through the main door, and although it has its private parts inside the accommodation, it shares services with the other 2 houses. They are connected by a central courtyard that gives the whole house a very rustic feel.

This particular accommodation has a living room that shares living room, dining room and kitchen. All delivered in the same room so that you have everything at your fingertips. The kitchen has the appliances more varied so you can cook your favorite dishes. It is a small corner that has an American bar.

The dining table is rectangular and very wide and is next to the sofas, where we also find a piece of furniture with the TV. The access door to the patio is right here and is very traditional, divided in two, so that you can open the top part to get fresh air from outside. The sofa and the TV cabinet are in this part of the room as well.

The 2 rooms that make up the accommodation are double, one of them has double bed and the other has 2 single beds. In both cases they are decorated in a very romantic way with sets of sheets and blankets with floral decorations. All the furniture is made of wood in white tone that combine perfectly with the finish of the walls, very original in 2 colors. The windows of the bedrooms have exterior views.

There is a bathroom that has all the basics for a perfect toilet. The sink, the toilet and the shower. We provide you with clean towels and some shelves to organize the bathroom products.

As we have already mentioned, on the outside of the house there is a spacious patio that has a porch and an open area in the center where there is an old well. Under the porch hemos enabled a picnic area with a large table and a barbecue. All this is shared by the 3 apartments, but the large size of the patio makes room for everyone. At the back of the house there is a large garden with spectacular views.

The River Duerna becomes the protagonist of the town Miñambres de la Valduerna, since it is located on both sides of the water. An element that brings a lot of beauty to the whole landscape of this town in León, more specifically in the region of La Bañeza.

Precisely in the city of La Bañeza we can get close to different monuments such as the church of San Salvador, of Mozarabic style, or the church of Santa María, Gothic of the XVI century. We arrived at this beautiful corner in less than 5 minutes by car.

Also by car about 18 kilometers away we would be in the beautiful and well-known Astorga. It is a city that has a Roman route where you can discover true treasures that have survived the passage of time. An example is the remains of a door and also the wall that surrounds the city. Undoubtedly a very nice contrast with other monuments of the city such as the Palacio Episcopal, encargo that was made to Gaudí but did not finish.
