Welcome to Albarracín, a town of 1093 inhabitants that is in the mountains of the same name, within the Montes Universales. It has been named a National Monument and is being considered by Unesco as a World Heritage Site. Thanks to the beauty of its historic, typically medieval quarter, it has been awarded the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts.

Inside the old town you can see the Castle, which can be visited thanks to a restoration that occurred between 2006 and 2009. It is surrounded by a walled enclosure that includes the residence of the rulers, inhabited between the 11th and 18th centuries, and an archaeological field with medieval remains. In addition, on the outside of the wall are 2 surveillance towers known as the Walker and Doña Blanca.

In the surroundings of the town, and in the part of the mountain range, there are Pinares de Rodeno, which make up a protected area of ​​6829 hectares. It receives this name because the pines grow on a ground of red sandstone called rodeno. These forests are populated by creatures such as the fox, the common squirrel and the marten.
