La Puerta del Estrecho

The accommodation is located in the town of Priego, Cuenca.

It consists of 3 independent apartments: one has a maximum capacity for 8 people, the other for 7 and the smallest has a capacity for for 6.

• The apartment for 8 people has 3 double rooms with single beds and one with a double bed.
• The apartment for 7, has 2 double rooms, one double and one single.
• The apartment for 6 people is divided into 3 double rooms.

The room with a double bed is very spacious. The bed has a very striking solid wood body. The room is very bright and decorated in a classic style. The furniture is matching, both the bedside tables and the wardrobe are made of wood in the same style. The room has a pair of armchairs for added comfort. The room is very bright thanks to the windows overlooking the outdoor garden.
The rooms with 2 single beds are each with a very different style but with the same classic tonality. One of them is painted in a salmon color and pastel colors, all to match the delicate trunk that serves as decoration and to store clothes.
Another room has a vintage theme because one of its walls is painted with vertical brown and pastel lines. The colors of the walls match the body and the sheets on the bed. Another double room has one of its walls covered with rustic stone blocks, which combines with the body of the beds, which is made of iron. All these double rooms have a wardrobe and a bedside table with its lamp.

Each of the beds in the house is dressed and equipped with its pillow set. Likewise, all rooms have heating.

Each of the apartments has a complete living room ; which has enough sofas and armchairs to guarantee comfort. A fireplace is located in the middle of the living room, which provides warmth and a feeling of calm in the environment. The furniture in the living room is classic in style, there are solid wood cabinets and decorative elements with local motifs. It also has a flat screen TV and the space has heating. If customers request, we have baby cots.
Guests have a full bathroom in each apartment with products and toiletries necessary to feel comfortable. We offer a set of towels for each guest.
Likewise, each apartment has a full kitchen. We also have kitchenware and necessary kitchen utensils. In front of the kitchen there is a table to be able to eat comfortably. Both the living room and the dining room are spacious and light-filled spaces.

The exterior of the house is shared between the 3 apartments. It consists of a very large garden where are located 2 complete barbecues built with brick. All in a covered space. The garden is furnished and there are large tables where you can eat comfortably.

The house is located in the town of Priego, a town in Cuenca, which has about 1000 inhabitants during the year. One of the places to visit is The Plaza Mayor, where the town hall built in the 16th century is located. The Arab fortress El Torreón de Despeñaperros is another place to visit, like the Iglesia Sán Nicolás de Bari or the Convento del Rosal y de San Miguel.
Strolling through the narrow streets of the town we arrive at Plaza de Los Condes,, further on is the Pernía house and the Los Condes de Priego Palace. All are constructions from the Roman period full of ancient details and some are well preserved in time. In the surrounding nature, mountain biking and hiking are common. The Cuervo River rises next to the town and is a place where we can practice fishing and refresh ourselves in the hottest times of the year.
The center of Cuenca is about 45 minutes by car, a city declared world heritage by UNESCO. You can visit the Cathedral of Cuenca, the Episcopal Palace or the various churches, convents and monasteries found in the center of town. The city is full of museums such as Cuenca, or the Science of Castilla-La Mancha. In the Plaza Mayor and in the Plaza Mangana you can taste the best of the local gastronomy.
