Albergue Rural Casón de Sangas

The hostel, restored on a building of traditional northern architecture of the XVIII century, is located in the village of Sangas, in Cantabria, in the center of the soul of the Valley of Soba. The enclosure, with multiple facilities and spaces, is addressed to active rural tourism; is located in the upper area of ​​the town, with forests and grasslands that give the opportunity to witness nature in its fullness and without interferences.

It is proposed as a hostel that is rented per bed or per room, however, there is the possibility of renting the facilities completely and exclusively; These options make it a great choice for schools and large groups as well as families, groups of friends and couples. The total capacity of the shelter is 34 seats, which can be extended to 50 enabling a home attached to the facility, but this must be consulted beforehand. The enclosure includes 3 buildings, each with its own functions.

The main house is used as accommodation place for the tenants, and is divided into 3 floors. The ground floor has 3 rooms of 4, 10 and 14 s, 28 in total, the 14 berths; there is also a toilet area, with batteries for bathrooms, showers and toilets, so that guests can get clean without giving up their privacy.

In the first floor we find 3 double bedrooms, with 2 single beds cada one, perfect for couples or families that require a little more privacy; there is no lack of storage space in the bedrooms, and each of them has its own single bathroom, fully equipped with shower and toilet. On this floor we also find the common dining room, with a kitchen attached with all the equipment to cook without missing anything necessary.

In all the rooms, as in the rest of the facilities, there is heating. Likewise, the bathrooms have hot water.

The last floor is a loft or under cover, which has a very large social room of 150 square meters, with a wood stove; It is a perfect place to meet to play, chat or enjoy a good movie on the television with DVD and home cinema.

The next building is a multi-purpose hut, with the air of a school classroom, a feeling that increases with the presence of materials such as a blackboard and desktop service. It has enabled a music system and disco lights, as well as a television with DVD, to also make it a playground and entertainment. It is spacious and with good lighting thanks to its windows.

There is also a game hut, whose attractiveness monopolizes the table of pingpong and the futbolín.

Among the facilities, we also have a traditional wood oven, in an old oven, where artisanal bread and roasts are prepared, but in which the pizzas also have a place. Una barbecue and a paella of 45 servings complete the quota of services related to food inside the facilities.

Outside, guests will rejoice to have a huge green field with breathtaking views of the countryside and mountains, which can be seen from the furnished terrace or from the pool, in absolute relaxation and tranquility.

Once at the lodge, guests can participate in an excursion to the cheese factory attached, where they can observe and learn about the traditional cheese, in addition to buy some and enjoy the taste of the land in full contemplation Of the same.

Being located the full Natural Park of the Colons of the Asón, it is impossible to think about missing the best landscapes that the park offers, as well as its cave network, open to the public and with guided tours for all types of visitors.
