Cal Picarol

In the Lleida town of Fontllonga, between the Montsec mountain range and the Camarasa reservoir, we find this hostel, ideal for groups of people; organize all kinds of celebrations and activities for children.
It is built in an old Catalan farmhouse, restored without altering the traditional architectural elements that give it its rustic style, with all the services to ensure a comfortable stay in a rural setting.
The hostel can accommodate up to 42 people, with the possibility of choosing between various accommodation regimes.
First of all we have the option to rent the apartment available, with capacity for up to 6 people. It is an interior apartment configured around a double room and a double room, with a 2-bed bunk bed. There is also a 2-seater sofa bed in the living room, to ensure the privacy of all occupants, who will be distributed in different rooms. In the dining room we also have a TV and complete furniture, including a table with chairs.
The apartment also has a complete kitchen, with microwave, and bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. There is no lack of heating, which reaches all rooms, to keep them at a good temperature. This apartment is an excellent option if you want to enjoy all the services of a hostel, with the privacy and freedom of an independent apartment.

The next option, also for a maximum of 6 people, is a room that has a double bed and 2 bunk beds. Includes a fully equipped bathroom,, and heater. Ideal for people who do not want to spend part of their time doing culinary tasks and are going to dedicate themselves to the practice of the activities available, leaving the preparation of meals to third parties.

The next room has space for 6 people in single beds distributed in bunk beds, and heating. The rooms are different from each other, and their windows have different orientations, as well as the walls and ceiling may differ, although they still retain at least one stone wall and the wooden beams on the ceiling. This option does not have a bathroom, so they will have to use the shared bathroom of the facilities, outside the room.

In addition to the heating, there is air conditioning in the common areas and a towel and bed linen rental service, as well as laundry.

All rooms have breakfast, lunch and dinner service, on a half board basis or for an extra per person per day; offers the guest the possibility of tasting traditional food from the area, without leaving their vacation home. Especially recommended is its honey, made by hand, one of the many local products that can be bought on the premises.
All residents have the right to enjoy the facilities of the enclosure, i the rest area around it, the restaurant / bar, the dining room and the outdoor terrace, with garden furniture, to meet outside for a snack or just rest. There are also books available and a collection of games to help you hang out in one of the many rooms available.

The area of ​​the pre-Pyrenees of the Montsec, in which the hostel is located, lends itself to the practice of a wide variety of adventure sports.

There are multiple hiking and cycling routes through the forest and mountain areas, and the places to visit are of incredible beauty. In the areas enabled for this, you can practice fishing. For those who prefer more relaxed activities, photography workshops, observation of flora, fauna and astronomy are organized, since the environment offers impressive views of the night sky, with countless stars.
Fontllonga is a charming rural town, belonging to the municipality of Camarasa, an enclave of tranquility and peace in the middle of the rural environment. Nearby is the Cova del Tabac and its rock paintings, which have earned it the declaration of World Heritage Site.

Through a path that starts from Linya up the mountain, you can reach the Balconet de Santa Linya, with a magnificent panoramic view of the Noguera Pallaresa gorge, the Terradets and the Sierra de Sant Mamet. A must-see is also the Camarasa reservoir, which stretches from Montsec to the confluence of the river Noguera Pallaresa with the Segre, and whose surroundings offer unparalleled landscapes that will enchant the visitor.
