Letur is a charming municipality in the province of Albacete where you will find a spectacular historical and patrimonial legacy against the backdrop of the Sierra del Segura.
It is considered one of the most beautiful villages in the area and walking through its streets is like travelling back in time. Letur has been a Historic-Artistic Site since 1983 and has a population of over 1000 inhabitants spread throughout the territory, which also includes the hamlets of La Abejuela, La Dehesa de Iznar and Fuente de la Sabina.

One of the streets with the most history is Calle Albayacín, tucked away in the perfectly preserved Muslim quarter, where the oldest buildings in the town are to be found. From here, you will reach charming spots such as the Plaza Mayor.
Among other sights to visit are the Town Hall, which is one of the main buildings, and the church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, the patron saint, which dates back to the 15th century. It is the main church, but not the only building used for worship. There’s also the hermitage of the Alto de la Concepción, a fine example of Mudejar architecture.
You'll find some old archways around the town, such as the Puerta del Sol, which is next to the Town Hall. It's one of the most emblematic places in the town today, ideal for having your photo taken. It used to be the entrance to the walled part of the town, as was the gateway of Las Moreras.
To enjoy a pleasant stroll in the midst of nature, the best thing to do is to go to the Jardines del Maestro Fernando, a place of calm surrounded by intense greenery.
Tourism in Letur does not end here, as one of the main attractions is set in the open landscape. Just 10 minutes from the centre we find the Poza de Charco Pataco, a spectacular pool of crystalline waters where you can bathe in the water or relax in the recreational area around it.
