Antiga Escola del Puig

Our rural house is in The Puig de Rialb, in the Baronia de Rialb, Lleida.

It is a house in the Catalan style, large and stone. It has a capacity for 4 people.

It is a typical construction, since previously was the village school. However, around 1963 there was a regrouping of the schools in the area, so there were no students in this building. Therefore, the City Council of Baronia decided in the year 2000 to reform the building and turn it into a rural accommodation, although the town of Puig no longer exists as a locality, it is depopulated.

The house has 2 floors. On the floor above are the 2 bedrooms: one with 2 single beds and another with double bed. are located around a large and bright corridor, at the end of which is the bathroom, equipped with a bathtub. The bedrooms have a fans on the roof, in addition to the air conditioning that owns the house.

The floor below is reserved for common areas. There is a living room spacious, with several armchairs looking towards the fantastic fireplace forging. There is firewood available. This stay has television and a part with dining room. One of the sofas is transformed into bed, in such a way that it can accommodate 2 more guests, doing a total of 6 people.

In addition, it has a American kitchen on the other side of the room. All this space is very bright, due to the abundance of windows that allow the light to flow freely.

On this floor there is also another bathroom and, in addition, another room. In it there is an area to do the laundry, with washing machine, and some showers closed and roofed, designed for the pool. Therefore, has a direct exit to the yard, so that you do not have to cross the entire house when entering and leaving the garden.

The outside has nothing to envy inside. The house has a large garden , with a pool. This room is floored and equipped with sun loungers for when you use the pool, for sunbathing or just to relax. In addition to this piece, there is a wide area with turf. There are garden tables and chairs, with umbrellas.

In another part of the patio, there is a barbecue de construction, ideal to spend time outdoors and get the most out of the garden.

The Puig no longer exists as a town, since is depopulated. Today, there is still some construction, like our house or the church of Sant Andreu. The municipality to which the house officially belongs is Baronia de Rialb, in the region of La Noguera, traversed by the River Rialb.

You can get close to the Rialb reservoir to take a bath or practice sports.

In the vicinity there are many churches and hermitages that you can visit and so you also know the area. If you prefer, you can take a walk along one of the routes that pass by, as the surroundings are very beautiful.

As for historical places, you can visit, for example, the Sols Dolls of Riu, a megalithic monument formed by large stone slabs.
