Description of Antigua Fonda

This great rural house has 2 plants.

Located in an elevated area between two rivers, it makes its climate temperate.

In the house, wood beams are preserved, which makes it a rustic and cozy accommodation. In the decoration this same material also predominates, as with the stairs.
The outer facade is stone.

It is a large accommodation, where a total of 10 people can be hosted. The distribution of the rooms makes this house perfect for 2 families.

On the upper floor the rooms are located and one of the 2 bñps that the house has. The other bathroom on the lower floor is to be used while in the dining room or kitchen, which are the stays found in this plant.

The kitchen is fully equipped with small, small and large appliances. In it, a large dining table is inluced to enjoy the time between stoves.

For its part, in the dining room we have:
  • chimney, with sufficient firewood to make it work at our whim.
  • Another dining table for all diners housed in the house.
  • Several leather sofas where to make the meetings.
  • Board games aimed at all ages.
In the grass garden we can enjoy a barbecue.

Sourroundings of Antigua Fonda


The Arlanza and the Pedroso is located in Burgos between two rivers, which gives the environment the greenery of the typical river areas.

As natural environments to visit, the landscapes forged by the rivers such as the Cañon del Río Lobos or the Arlaza Valley. We cannot forget some very old sabinares, some of more than two millennia of seniority.

As for cultural heritage that visit we recommend the following:
  • The Villa Covarrubias, with great history, as it was founded in 978 by Count García Fernández
  • The municipality of Infantes Salas, where the highlight is the amount of limestone in its surroundings
  • Santo Domingo de Silos. It is a villa and an own monastery of the Benedictine monks
  • The Castrillo de la Reina, where we can find a hermitage of the Middle Ages and inside you can see fossil traces of dinosaurs.
  • The Sierra de la Demanda, with a lot of vegetation such as holm oaks and, of course, a great sabinar. In this mountain range, animal lovers, they can delight with the large number of birds such as owls, the real eagle or the leonardos vultures
  • And of course, the city of Burgos with its fantastic cathedral.

We cannot forget the typical gastronomy, where we can enjoy the blackberry or roast lamb.
