Antigua Fonda

This wonderful country house has 2 plants.

Located in an elevated area between two rivers, it makes its climate mild.

In the house wooden beams are preserved which makes it a rustic and cozy accommodation. In the decoration also this same material predominates, as it happens with the stairs.
The exterior facade is made of stone.

It is a large accommodation, where you can stay a total of 10 people. The rooms available are 2 triple rooms and 2 double rooms with double beds. The distribution of the rooms makes this house perfect for 2 families.

On the upper floor are the rooms and one of the 2 bñps that the house has. The other bathroom on the lower floor is to be used while you are in the living room or kitchen, which are the rooms that are on this floor.

The kitchen is fully equipped with kitchenware, small and large appliances. In it is included a large dining table to enjoy the time between stoves.

For its part, in the dining room we have:

• Fireplace, with enough firewood to make it work at our whim.
• Another dining table for all the guests staying in the house.
• Several leather sofas where to do the meetings.
• Board games aimed at all ages.

In the lawn garden we can enjoy a barbecue .

Other things that we put at the disposal of our guests that can be useful are bed linen and towels, iron and baby crib if necessary.

It is located in Burgos between two rivers the river Arlanza and the Pedroso lo that confers to the environment the greenery of the typical fluvial zones.

As natural surroundings to visit, the landscapes forged by the rivers like the Cañon del Río Lobos o the Valle de Arlanza stand out. We can not forget some very old junipers, some of which are more than two millennia old.

In terms of cultural heritage sites to visit we recommend the following:

• The villa Covarrubias, with great history, it was founded in 978 by Count García Fernández
• The municipality of Salas de los Infantes, where the highlight is the amount of limestone that is in its surroundings
• Santo Domingo de Silos. It is a villa and a monastery of the Benedictine monks
• The Castrillo de la Reina, where we can find a hermitage from the Middle Ages and inside you can see fossil remains of dinosaurs.
• The Sierra de la Demanda, with a lot of vegetation such as oaks or pines and, of course, a great juniper. In this mountain, lovers of animals can delight with the large number of birds such as owls, the golden eagle or the leonardos vultures
• And of course, the city of Burgos with its fantastic cathedral.

We can not forget about the typical gastronomy, where we can enjoy the black pudding or the roast lamb.
