Apolonia I

Rural house located in the village of Artazu. It has been recently refurbished to fit perfectly for guests to feel like their own. This accommodation is part of a complex of 2 houses, this one in particular has 2 floors that are distributed in such a way that it is a very comfortable and practical house.

On the ground floor we will find the following stays:

• Equipped kitchen with all the appliances that will be very useful when cooking. Furnished with beautiful wooden furniture in light tone, the window that allows you to enter a lot of light. It also has a dining table.

• The room, is both living room and dining room. On the one hand a table that will allow you to give your meals a more elegant touch in an atmosphere presided by the fireplace, on the other hand some comfortable sofas in front of a TV, that will allow you to rest in the heat of the same fireplace.

• A room called Txoco in which there is a cellar and a large elongated wooden table. It is the meeting center of the house.

• A bathroom fully furnished that has a shower and all the necessary accessories for the toilet.

In second floor of the house we have the rest area consisting of:

• 2 double bedrooms with 2 single beds each one. Wooden ceilings that give a very rural style, and all wooden furniture, bedside tables, cabinets y headboards. They have enough light thanks to the windows with views to the outside.

• A bedroom with double bed that also has a wardrobe, bedside tables and a very elegant decoration. This bedroom has bathroom included.

In both cases, all the bedrooms have sets of sheets and blankets quite comfortable for your rest is appropriate during your stay. Also the towels in the bathrooms are at your entire disposal.

In the outside de the house we find a large garden very careful that has a barbecue, which you can enjoy and taste whenever you want.

Our home is located in the village of Artazu that among many other architectural monuments, has the well known Puente la Reina, a Roman bridge on the River Arga dating from the eleventh century and through which passes the route of the Camino from Santiago. In Artazu we can also visit the church of San Miguel Arcángel or the hermitage of Santa Cruz.

Less than 15 minutes away we arrive at Pamplona, a city well known worldwide that has very representative monuments. The citadel is one of them. It is a wall that was ordered to be built by the year 1570 and whose purpose was totally military and defensive. If we observe this place from above we can appreciate its star shape, this is because from all points the city was controlled. Nowadays this beautiful place has been conserved until turning it into a park very taken care of by which it is possible to be walked.

At the same distance we come to the Estella municipality whose star is the River Ega that makes its way through the city. Walking through its streets and corners we can know for example the church of the Holy Sepulcher, is one of the oldest in the city. Also the Convent of Santa Clara, of which you can visit his church today. Another important monument is the Palace of the Kings of Navarre which has the honor of being the only civil building of Romanesque art in all of Navarre and this earned it being declared a National Monument.
