The municipality of Jaraíz de la Vera is a perfect holiday destination for anyone interested in exploring the region of La Vera. With a population of over 6,500, it's one of the most developed areas in this part of the province of Cáceres.
The town has spectacular views of the Sierra de Gredos mountain range, which surrounds what is known as the World Capital of Paprika. It's no surprise that this star product, which has protected Designation of Origin status, should come from a place of such natural beauty.
