In the northern part of the province of Cáceres is the municipality of Losar de la Vera, set in the natural paradise of La Vera valley. Here, spectacular landscapes cut by gorges and natural swimming pools combine with a charming old town to make an excellent holiday destination.

The waters are spanned by the Cuartos Bridge, which is of mediaeval origin. The best views of the gorges can be enjoyed from the midway point.
