Located in the north of the province of Cáceres, we find the municipality of Madrigal de la Vera. It's located in the northernmost part of La Vera region, ideal for enjoying endless green landscapes that are nourished by the waters of the river Tiétar.
So green, leafy and well irrigated are its lands that it is known as Little Galicia. The town centre is also worthy of mention, boasting traditional architecture of the region, breathtaking views and a wide range of tourist attractions.

Finally, don't miss the Roman Bridge, also known as Puente Viejo (Old Bridge), which is part of the Roman road and crosses the waters of the Garganta de Alardos.
Madrigal de la Vera has several festivals in its calendar, among which are, in chronological order, the Fiestas de the Cristos Chicos, which are held in August, the Cristo de la Luz in September and the Fiestas de las Luminarias in December.
What to see nearby? There are plenty of natural areas in the surrounding area that are a pleasure to visit, such as the Cascada del Diablo waterfall, the aforementioned Garganta de Alardos gorge and the Rosarito reservoir.
