The historical center has its own special character and, in fact, it is precisely thanks to each of the elements that are part of it, that it has been declared a historical, heritage complex.
The town hall and the square where it is located are also two other relevant places to visit, just like Museo Textil de Grazalema, a museum built with the purpose of exhibiting and explaining the history and development of one of the main pillars of the economic activity of this area, through the years.
There are also records of life in this region from prehistoric times, although, if there is an important chapter of history that has left its footprint in this area, that is connected to the remains of the ancient Roman city of Lacilbula.

Also, hiking and hill walking in the natural reserve of the mountains of Sierra de Grazalema is one of the best activities nature lovers will be able to enjoy doing here.
After such a physically exhausting visit, the time to enjoy the local gastronomy has come, something that will give you the chance to keep enjoying the culture of Grazalema, also through its culinary tradition, with plenty of recipes of many contrasts.
Amongst the most popular dishes is a regional variety of cheese, “queso payoyo”, which is elaborated with goat's milk, a local resident in many towns and villages near the mountains of Grazalema. Another local delicacy from Grazalema's gastronomy are “cagarrias”, a local variety of mushroom very similar to morels or morchella, that is included in many recipes.
