We are in Queralbs in Girona, a small town in the region of Ripollès where this strange house, built in wood and stone long ago and recently refurbished para serve rural accommodation stands for those seeking the retreat of the countryside and the mountain, in one of the most idyllic and charming places in the interior of Girona.

7 people is the maximum that the house can hold, which is a perfect number for families, especially with children. In its 2 rooms are divided into 3 double beds and one single, so that one of the rooms is triple and the other has 4 beds. They have lockers to store personal belongings, and bedside tables with lamps. The atmosphere in them is warm and cozy, propitiated by wood and stone walls, as well as by the heating in the whole house.

The kitchen, broad and rustic, surrounds the guest when he enters it. It does not renounce to any necessary element: it counts on refrigerator, dishwasher, vitroceramic and microwaves, and a washing machine is added; kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery are carefully stored. In short, it is a kitchen in which nothing will be missed when preparing meals.

A kitchen island separates it from the dining room, very spacious, with windows facing the outside patio. has a wood burning fireplace, next to a living room furniture with TV and games and large comfortable sofas for all residents. After this area is the dining room, with a large table and enough chairs to provide a good space to eat inside the house.

The 2 bathrooms are divided into the two floors. On the top floor, with the bedrooms, there is a bathroom with shower tray ; on the ground floor have, on the other hand, a bathroom with whirlpool, which will retain the host when available for a swim before heading out to tour the campo.

Outside, close to tarmac entrance, is la parking space which guests can use to leave your car at the duration of your stay. The house has a terrace with barbecue, table and garden chairs, to be used for succulent meals outside.

Queralbs is a small town, but immense in terms of possibilities. Numerous routes start from here and go into the Ripollès region, including an old road that leads to the ski resort of Vall de Núria (although the guest can also choose to go by train or car, faster), where to practice skiing and snowboarding, or sign up for a snowshoe excursion.

Without leaving the same town, we can find samples of medieval architecture, such as the Castle of Queralbs or the Sanctuary of Núria. It is a good place to start the Romanesque Route by Ripollès, which runs through several towns in the region with architectural vestiges of this style, such as Ripoll, Camprodón or Mataplana. You can also take advantage to enjoy the typical cuisine of this region, abundant in fishing and hunting.

Far from the urban enclaves, routes mines, walks through forests and search for mushrooms, trekking, cycling or horseback. Climbing can be done and high mountain excursion in peaks of almost 3000 meters of altitude, such as Balandrau or Puigmal.
