Can Bech Rural

Traditional Catalan farmhouse located in the municipality girones de Fontanilles, belonging to the Lower Ampurdán region. Originally from the 19th century, its location on the highest part of a hill gives it the privilege of the best views of the region.

Its walls housed for some years one of the most renowned restaurants in the area, where the star dish was figs in syrup. Later we decided to give the farmhouse the character of rural accommodation without losing its original charm.

The house has its own parking and offers wifi service during the stay.

If something characterizes it, it is its vast extension of garden. A blanket of grass runs around the outside of the house, sheltering the pool and various environments in which it is possible to enjoy the outside of the house. Hammocks around the pool and different plantations give the garden a special charm that can be used throughout the year.
It is the perfect option to go in large groups, since the interior houses 6 spacious rooms, among which the suite stands out. A cozy, warm space with a careful decoration that has the comfort of the bathroom inside. Other 3 fully equipped bathrooms complete the upper floor of the house.
The lower area is set up for common spaces, such as the kitchen, the dining room, with a large table for 12 people and 2 different rooms. On the one hand, the living room, equipped with fireplace and comfortable sofas to promote rest. On the other, a leisure room equipped with billiards, table football, ping pong and board games for the entertainment of young and old.
Next to the main house, we decided to build the Niu, a smaller but very cute little house. In it you will find the same comforts as in the main one. In addition to 2 double bedrooms, it has a living-dining room and a kitchen. Both are meticulously decorated and with a fireplace that provides warmth in the cold months.

In order for visitors to experience different sensations, at Can Bech we offer them different gastronomy workshops where they can taste and experiment with the typical cuisine of the region of Bajo Ampurdán.

And if your pocketbook gives you a break, don't miss the opportunity to visit one of the best restaurants in the world, El Celler de Can Roca, just half an hour from the farmhouse.
There are many greenways with different routes to do on foot or by bike and get to know the interior of Fontanilles. Those who are more from the coast will find rest in Le Pals or in Mas Pincell, one of the beaches of the Costa Brava from where they can contemplate the best views of the Medes Islands.
And if we talk about charming buildings, the Dalí Museum en Figueres wins the award.
