Casa de La Tortuga

The rural house is located in the complex Molino del Río Alájar next to the riverbed. We are in the Huelva municipality of Alájar.

The facade of this building stands out for the use of bricks and stones in its walls and for the large windows that preside over the walls. Thanks to this, La Tortuga becomes the brightest rural house.
It has a capacity of 5 people.

Outside it has a patio where you can relax with the views of the mountain that surrounds the rural house. You can also enjoy a good swim in the complex's large pool or play tennis on the court.
The large windows provide incredible light and views of the area. Under these we find a dining table with capacity for 6 people. In the same room we find a cozy living room furnished with comfortable sofas where you can relax around the fire of the fireplace of wood.
Next to this room is the kitchen, carefully decorated. The 3 rooms are in the same open-plan area. The brown stoneware on the floor matches the brick accents and tile murals on the living room walls. All the furniture in the living room is old wood restored. In contrast, the sink is made of white stone. The electrical appliances that you can count on are: oven, microwave, stove, etc., in addition to housing a glass cupboard and several cabinets and drawers.
In the rural house there are a total of 2 rooms. One of them has a double bed decorated with a stained glass window. The second bedroom is located on the upper floor. This is triple, with individual and separate beds, with access to the patio. It is decorated with a marble column and a dark wood ceiling.
This house has the advantage of having one with private terrace and barbecue.

The town of Alájar has several historical monuments that are worth visiting. From the Church the town is born, being the nerve center of it. It dates from the 18th century and is made up of 3 vaulted naves. It has 2 hermitages of less importance but of equal artistic value.
There is a monument, that although it has the name of peña, it is not a rocky construction. It is actually a facade with white holes with 3 hoods on top.
Aracena, a town 15 km away, is very visited due to the castle that it houses, and from which you can see the typical Andalusian white facades.

In case it seems insufficient, very close you can also visit the Sierra de Aracena and the Picos de Aroche or the Gruta de las Maravillas.
