Casa el Guadarnés

Casa El Guadarnés is located in Navalafuente,, just 40 minutes by car from the city of Madrid, in one of the most distinctive environments of the Sierra de Guadarrama in the Community of Madrid. The property covers more than 2 hectares of land that was previously used for horse breeding, which gives rise to its name. Our house has been renovated from the old stables of the estate.

This rural house offers several rooms that are rented separately. Each room has a space that varies between 18 and 25 m² and is equipped with a double bed with sheets, or, if requested in advance, it can have 2 single beds. The maximum capacity of each room is 2 people. All rooms have a full and private bathroom with shower and a set of clean towels. In addition, each room has a kitchenette, allowing you to prepare coffee or tea, as well as a simple breakfast or lunch; It is equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and basic kitchen utensils. For those who want to enjoy an authentic dining experience, we offer an outdoor kitchen with beautiful views and ample space to sit and enjoy snacks, lunch or dinner. This kitchen is equipped with all types of basic appliances. It is important to mention that, due to the location in the middle of nature, outdoor fires are not allowed for much of the year, so barbecues are not allowed from April to October included. It should be noted that we do not have common areas inside. Next to the rural house, our farm includes a sanctuary for abandoned dogs in their last stages of life due to old age or terminal illnesses. Although not required, visitors are welcome to meet the animals or join us on a walk. On the grounds, visitors can enjoy an extensive garden area that offers stunning views of the mountains and various seating spaces. There are also play areas including petanque, badminton, basketball and volleyball. During the summer, you can access the pool at certain times of the day, as long as you check with us before doing so, since the pool is located in the sanctuary garden. 

This accommodation is perfect for those people who want to enjoy t tranquility while doing sports or tourist activities. The Sierra Norte offers impressive hiking and cycling routes, suitable for both beginners and experts, with routes starting at 3.5 kilometers or more. Some of these routes can be started directly from the farm. Just a 10-minute drive away is the Pedrezuela reservoir, where it is possible to rent a kayak or a paddle surf board to explore the beautiful landscapes from the water. In Cercedilla, 40 minutes away, there are opportunities to climb to the heights of the trees and zip line down. Also, 40 minutes away in Somossierra, you can experience the exciting canyoning. Do you prefer something more relaxed? In the surrounding area there are several charming towns, such as Patones de Arriba and Buitrago, as well as historic towns and places that are less than an hour away by car, such as Alcalá de Henares, Segovia, Ávila and El Escorial. And, given its proximity, you cannot miss the opportunity to visit the capital, Madrid.
