Casa Grixó

This rural lodging is located in the orensano municipality of Padrenda, concretely in a parish that receives the same name of the house, although it is also known as San Pedro da Torre. What you are sure to find here is tranquility and an abundance of green on the banks of the River Deva.

Here we have capacity for 14 people, although there are different modalities of rent de housing. It has 7 rooms, all double, which you can take independently. Or you can opt for the whole house, or just for a part of it. The maximum capacity can be extended if we add extra beds.

The building that hosts was built 3 centuries ago, which can be seen in the stone of its facade, but also in some of its interior rooms. After the reform we did to adapt it to the new comforts and offer the best service, there has been a very elegant touch that combines tradition with modernity.

The farm in which is integrated exceeds the 12,000 square meters, while the house reaches 800. The majority of this area has been dedicated to nature, but to structure it better we have divided it into other 5 farms :

• 2 of them with hardly any construction, with lots of trees and natural forests in which we have placed benches so you can rest while enjoying this beauty.
• One dedicated to the fruit tree plantation, which you will be able to taste whenever you want.
• A dedicated to relax, where you will find a pool for summer baths, surrounded by sun loungers and space for you to take the sun.
• One, that receives the name of source, by the existence of one in its territory, from which you can take the water, which has very good flavor. Also there you have banks.

For its part, the area where the house is included has about 2,000 square meters. In whose exterior you will find several terraces with tables and sun loungers, chill out areas, porches for meals, viewpoints and pool.

As for the interiors, in addition to the 7 rooms with their corresponding private bathrooms, you have:

• A kitchen perfectly conditioned, with the necessary utensils to elaborate comfortably the dishes that you want.
• A large dining room where you can meet all, about 100 square meters.
• A room where we will offer you daily, if you wish, breakfast.
• Un 30s rest room of 30m2 where you will be able to enjoy the company of your families or friends.
• An area with sofas for reading with its corresponding library annexed.

As you can see, this is a rural accommodation where we have tried to take care of every detail so that you feel at home and enjoy the experience and the environment of Orense.

The farm on which we settled, as we have already described, has large natural spaces in which to relax, walk and get in direct contact with nature. In addition to carrying out the different activities that we take care of ourselves.

But if you want to continue discovering, the municipality, Padrend a, offers more alternatives. This, with its 7 parishes, almost reaches the 2,000 inhabitants in which different festivities are organized in honor of various saints.

It is also an area where the traditional labor of agriculture and livestock are still conserved. The corn and potatoes are grown especially, although there are also vineyard fields and various fruit trees. As for the animals, cows and pigs predominate.
