Casa Guía de Gredos

Nice and new rural house in the town of Hoyos del Espino, where you can come and spend a few days and enjoy like never before.
It is a independent house and full rental, which has been recently renovated and where you will find luxury and practically new facilities. Here, up to 6 people can stay, since it has 3 double bedrooms but… we go by parts.

First we are going to talk about its exterior, as it has a small garden as well as a patio. In this outdoor area there is a barbecue, which is practically unused so that you are the one who gives it the life it demands and cook delicious meats here and you crown yourself as the chef of the group.
And once inside, which is accessed through some stairs, you first arrive at room. The first thing you see is the dining room, which is composed of a large room with walls in light gray tones tending to ecru. Here's a L-shaped sofa that faces the wood-burning fireplace -which sits on an exposed brick wall- and the flat screen TV.

Next to it are a pair of individual armchairs, with the same upholstery as the main sofa, which are in the gazebo of the house. You don't know that sunsets can be seen from here! Red, pink, orange skies, they are seen frequently in the summer and almost autumn time, they are beautiful!

As for the dining room itself, it is a table in dark tones and that serves to separate a little environments between the living room and kitchen, since the latter is open. It is completely new and when it was installed, all kinds of appliances were added, some of them are not visible as they are covered with the same doors as the rest of the furniture.
And we do not forget the area of ​​ bedrooms. All of them are double, but they differ in their decoration. Each one follows the same modernist trend but they have been designed in different shades, one being blue, another red and the last one in black and white. The latter has single beds instead of double beds, but they all have en-suite bathrooms.

What we have not told you is that this house belongs to the Bar Gredos Complex, where there are other 2 houses scattered around the town as well as a hostel and that is next to the bar that has the same name.
In addition, it was decided to name this house in honor of its former owner, since he was the official guide and he was very fond of in this area of ​​Gredos. In fact, he was in charge of teaching it to characters of special importance in Spanish history and a small mosaic is dedicated to him on the wall of the dining room.

Hoyos del Espino is a small town of almost 300 inhabitants that is one hour from Ávila city. Here you can visit the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora del Espino, which is characteristic for its late Gothic style as well as for having built in the 15th century. In it there is still a Romanesque carving of the Virgin herself, which in fact is one of the oldest in the entire province.
Through its streets you will also find a monument to the Mountain Goat, which is nothing more than a bronze sculpture that reminds of this animal from the area.
And if you like gastronomy, here you can put on your boots, because it is one of the few places in the world that has the Dark Sky rating. This means that it is one of the 25 places in the world where they are best appreciated.
