Castillo de Tajarja has a total of 390 inhabitants, which makes it a small and quiet rural place. Not being small means that you do not keep a great story behind you, in addition to places and monuments great cultural interest.

If you want to go around the town and know some of its most important buildings, we recommend:

• Crenellated House: is one of the oldest works in the town. In its beginnings in the Arab period, its use was that of a prison.
• Parish Church of Our Lady of Peace: su construction dates from the nineteenth century. It consists of a single nave and a chapel from which the sacristy is accessed, which in turn gives entrance to the bell tower.
• Los Arcos: are the remains of an old Arab fortress. Along with the Casa Grande and the church, they fry a small plaza. They are located in the center of the town.

If the idea is to visit the city of Granada, it is 30 kilometers from the house. There you can enjoy monuments and historical and heritage buildings such as the Alhambra, the Cathedral of Granada, Federico García Lorca House-Museum, the charming neighborhood of Albaycín o Parque de las Ciencias.
