Description of Casa Mateus- El Porxo
This rural home located in Sagàs, a small town in Barcelona, and surrounded by the tranquility of the countryside, is perfect for spending a few days of disconnection accompanied by family and friends. It is a mansion from the 16th century completely renovated .
The house consists of one floor, accessible for people with reduced mobility , plus mezzanine, in which up to are distributed 5 bedrooms and common rooms to enjoy the most pleasant stay. It has a capacity of up to 15 people, and with the possibility of using 4 extra beds if required.
All rooms have beautiful furniture carved in wood. They have all the necessary bedding, as well as towels to use in the bathrooms, equipped with comfortable showers, sinks and hot and cold water. In addition, the large windows in the bedrooms offer fantastic views of the countryside and nature that surround the house, and allow the light to enter them, resulting in very luminous and full of life.
The exterior of the house is fully designed and equipped to offer total relaxation to guests. In addition to the terrace, which we have already talked about previously, the garden of the house is fully equipped with the best furniture. There is also barbecue, with firewood included, and swimming pool, where you can relax or play, and where you can also put lounge chairs.
The farm also has football field and volleyball net, and it is worth taking a walk through the surrounding fields.
For those who wish, there is even chapel, where, with a prior reservation, all kinds of celebrations can be held.

- The kitchen is large, with a table in the center, and with all the kitchenware necessary to cook succulent and delicious dishes for the whole family. Among them there is no shortage, among others, of oven, dishwasher, and a wonderful Italian coffee maker, to gain strength at breakfast and warm up on rainy afternoons.
- A glass door allows us to see the living-dining room. As soon as we enter the room we see a large wooden table perfectly designed for large family meals. Behind this there is a cabinet with enough space for plates, glasses, cups, etc.
- At the back of the room, we have living room. This is fully furnished with 2 large purple sofas, 2 armchairs, a beautiful table made of glazed wood in the center and a low cabinet where the television is located, and with XX drawers enough for the television controls and everything we want to store. Additionally, on the right, there is the fireplace, cozy and perfect for the coldest days.
- From this living room you can see a large terrace open to the countryside, to which you can go out through the large stained glass windows, with a door, and where you can place tables and some chairs to eat while enjoying the nature and fresh air on the days of good weather.
- The house has 5 rooms, of which 4 are double. 3 of them, with their own bathroom, are suites, and the remaining one has shared bathroom. In all of them there are single beds, except in one, which has a beautiful double bed.
