Muruzábal is a small town whose population reaches 270 inhabitants which is located in the region of Puente la Reina, within the Foral Community of Navarra. In this town, a little separated from the urban center, is the Church of Santa María de Eunate, built in the twelfth century that has the peculiarity of having the octagonal floor. Muruzábal is crossed by the Camino de Santiago from France.

This Jacobean route merges with its twin, which enters Spain through Roncesvalles, in the city of Puente la Reina. The name of this city comes from the great stone bridge that crosses the river Arga and was commissioned to serve as a crossroads to the Jacobean way, by one of the queens of Navarre (it is not known if by Doña Mayor, the king's wife Sancho el mayor, or by Dona Estefanía, wife of King García de Nájera) .
