Casa Río - Casas Río Múrtiga

This house is located near the town of La Nava , in Huelva. Next to the Múrtiga River, almost inside the gallery forest that covers it. In the middle of the nature of the park of the Sierra de Aracena and ideal to enjoy idyllic landscapes and total tranquility.

It is an old building with stone and lime walls, restored, on one floor with the capacity to accommodate 5 people, including an extra bed, who can enjoy the following rooms inside:

• 2 double bedrooms, equipped with wooden furniture so that you are comfortable.

• A charming lounge, with armchairs to feel the warmth of the wood fireplace and a stretcher table where you can gather to eat.

• Kitchen equipped with all appliances and cooking utensils.

• A bathroom complete with bathtub.

• A sunny terrace great to sit and read a book enjoying the good weather, under a centennial oak that is a meeting place for riverside birds ..

Outside, a garden with tables and barbecue where you can enjoy the views, in addition to the wonderful common pool with hammocks surrounded by trees that you can use whenever you want. As common areas, in addition to the pool, we have a playground with tree houses, farm animals etc ... We also program special activities aimed at young and old.

The vast territory of the Natural Park of the Sierra de Aracena and the Picos de Aroche keeps natural landscapes of great beauty, as well as towns with an important cultural value and interesting gastronomy. Its vegetation, typical Andalusian mountain range with holm oaks, cork oaks and oaks, mixed with chestnut trees, pines, strawberry trees, hawthorn trees and olive trees, also welcomes quiet banks shaded by its gallery forest, such as the river Múrtiga , very close to our house. From the house, without having to take the car, we can walk along the River or go up to the Balcón del Cielo to see wide horizons. Also carry out more than 6 routes along marked trails and get closer to nearby towns and villages. Along the River we can also get close to beautiful waterfalls, the medieval bridge and the ruins of the old light factory and the mines. La Nava is a small town, but with a history that begins in times of the Roman Empire. It is famous for its fruit orchards. especially peaches. Throughout the year we try to gift our visitors with products related to this natural wealth: jams, liquors and products from the garden.
Going through any of its towns, you can enjoy the traditional architecture and charming corners, such as any of the convoluted streets of Aroche , the castle of Cortegana , the Mosque of Almonaster , the privileged landscapes of Santa Ana privileged landscapes , El Castillo de Cumbres Mayores or the group of hamlets of Castaño de Robledo . It is especially worth visiting La Gruta de Las Maravillas de Aracena , the surroundings of La Peña de Arias Montano and the town where our Rio Múrtigas is born: Fuenteheridos . The richness of our Sierra reaches its maximum value when tasting a simple slice of authentic Jabugo ham. This flavor is the one that can best make us understand the wisdom and tradition accumulated by each of the towns in our environment and the inhabitants of our Sierra.
