Casa Rural Atauta

Our cozy cottage is located in the village of Atauta.

The facade of stone and wood, located in the middle of the village street, introduces you to an accommodation that has been rehabilitated but has maintained certain original structures. Decorated in the XX XxS1, with wooden furniture and some touches of color, we have all the amenities possible so you feel at home

• The kitchen has the appliances enough to cook and you also have crockery and cutlery at your disposal to organize meals for the whole family or your group of friends. It is a diaphanous kitchen in white tones and with a window with exterior views.

• The living room is rustic style, with wooden ceilings and a very comfortable furniture. The sofas rojos become the protagonists of the stay, in front of them a TV and several windows por which is quite light so it is a perfect place for reading time. Just on the other side of the room we have enabled a wooden table rectangular and large size that has a couple of banks.

We have a total of 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all of them perfectly equipped with sheets, blankets and towels. You will not miss anything and your rest is guaranteed:

• There are 5 double bedrooms, either with double bed or with single beds. We also have a single bedroom with a single bed that is adapted for people with reduced mobility. All the rooms follow the same style, but each one has a different color so that they have their own essence. They have cupboards and tables, in addition we have placed beautiful ornaments that keep histories of the past.

• The first bathroom consists of a bathtub, sink and toilet, plus enough furniture to store your beauty products. The other service is the adapted for the disabled, both the toilet and the shower. It is very bright and has a window that gives a lot of light.

In our house we are friends of the animals so if you have a pet you can bring it on your trip. We also have the option of being able to include a crib in case you have a baby. We want to give you all the possible facilities so that you have the best vacations.

Access to our town is very simple and well signposted, in addition you can park your vehicle at the door of the same house and dispose of it whenever you need it.

Atauta part of San Esteban de Gormaz, a town that is part of the well-known Camino del Cid, along the banks of the Douro River. Among the many monuments that we can visit we highlight the church of the Virgen del Rivero, is Romanesque of the XII century and is in the center of town. It has been reformed and the final result is a very elegant monument that keeps a lot of history. We also have the Romanesque church of San Miguel dating from the eleventh century, has a very beautiful structure and perfect details.

Highlight the presence of his famous castle. The fortress of Muslim origin began to be built during the Caliphate of Cordoba. Thanks to the walls of the castle, the Christian kingdom of the Muslim defense of the town of Medinaceli was kept away. The town began to grow at the foot of the castle little by little until it became what it is today.

We recommend you visit the Picos de Urbión simply to know the Laguna Negra. Of glacial origin, it is located between the peaks creating a magical landscape. The legends say that the lagoon has no bottom and that it also has communication thanks to the underground caves. What is clear is that it gives the landscape an indisputable beauty.
