In the Sajambre Valley, in the heart of the Picos de Europa of Leon, and bordering Asturias, there is a beautiful town that breathes purity, tradition, history and art, called Oseja de Sajambre.
In it, we find the perfect place to build 2 magnificent rural homes, which take advantage of a spectacular environment to become a wonderful rural destination, thanks to the numerous and exclusive services that they offer, both in their spacious spaces interiors, as in the beautiful and charming exteriors that surround them.
This home has more than 200 years of life behind it, and, thanks to the renovation that we carried out in 2003, it is perfectly prepared for wonderful rural stays. This is a construction built from wood and stone, following the ideals of the traditional architecture of the area.
In it, we find the perfect place to build 2 magnificent rural homes, which take advantage of a spectacular environment to become a wonderful rural destination, thanks to the numerous and exclusive services that they offer, both in their spacious spaces interiors, as in the beautiful and charming exteriors that surround them.
This home has more than 200 years of life behind it, and, thanks to the renovation that we carried out in 2003, it is perfectly prepared for wonderful rural stays. This is a construction built from wood and stone, following the ideals of the traditional architecture of the area.
- Its interior spaces offer a family atmosphere, in which the rusticity and tradition of decoration and furniture contrast, while harmonizing, with the comfort and the maximum quality of said furniture 2 and the best services, distributed in 2 spacious floors. X
- Upon entering the house, on the ground floor, there is a large room in which there are living room and kitchen. In the living room, some sofas are distributed, along with a central low table and cozy closets, around a large wood-burning fireplace that dominates the room, among decorative elements. Surrounded by the heat that comes from it, our guests will be able to enjoy entertaining moments of entertainment in the light of the television, which is accompanied by a DVD player. X
- At the end of the extension occupied by the cabinets, there begin some large countertops that are part of the kitchen,, in which there are ceramic hob, refrigerator, oven and microwave, as well as coffee maker, mixer and a practical juicer, toaster and a varied kitchenware, together with an elegant cutlery, among the spacious wooden cabinets, where you can also find cleaning products that make the room shine with its own light. In addition, for the care of clothes, there is a practical washing machine, and space for a clothesline. X
- On the upper floor there are the 2 bedrooms, both doubles and fully equipped , next to the only bathroom in the house, spacious and bright, in which we have distributed useful products for personal hygiene, as a practical hair dryer, as well as providing clean towels. X
- The bedrooms stand out for their spaciousness and luminosity. One of them, couple, has access to a beautiful wooden balcony, furnished with some chairs, from which, in addition to letting in a lot of light, you can see the impressive Picos de Europa. This bedroom, with a double bed in the center surrounded by beautiful side tables with lamps on both sides, also has some wardrobes and a nice mirror with a decorative vase, and in it we can fit a nice crib. X

Sourroundings of Casa Rural El Coto
In the mountainous lands of the north of the Cantabrian Mountains, in the province of León and bordering with Asturias (to the north) and Riaño (to the south), is the beautiful municipality of Oseja de Sajambre, of about 73.31 square kilometers and an altitude of 754 meters above sea level.
The municipality is made up of 5 different towns, each of them with their particular traditions, and their beautiful houses, that show off the typical aesthetic of the area. These are Vierdes from Sajambre, Ribota from Sajambre, Pío from Sajambre, Soto from Sajambre, and the town of Oseja. In total, 282 inhabitants live in the area.
Oseja, the largest town of the 5, is also the capital of the Valley. The most important of these buildings is the Right next to it, there is a fountain-laundry, which is known as the Fuentona.
The Hermitage of San Roque,, built in the 16th century and rebuilt in 1507, is located at outside of the town, in front of a Roman road, also known as Senda del Arcediano. During the Old Regime, the hermitage was intended to be used to provide support to the parishes, in addition to serving as a spiritual temple for the most marginalized groups.
In addition, around the town there are beautiful examples of the popular architecture of the area. Among them, the ruins of an old mansion, the Casa del Conde, which used to have a beautiful arch, stand out. It is located in the Barrio de las Cortes, and it is believed that it belonged to the family of the archdeacon D. Pedro Díaz de Oseja,, who also built a hostel, of which some arches are preserved, next to the school that he himself founded. Also, next to the church, is the magnificent house of the Piñán.
