Casa Rural El Hornillo

This rural house is located in the province of Huelva, more specifically in the small town of Cortegana. The rural complex to which this house belongs is located within the Montefrío farm, which specializes in agrotourism.

This means that you can participate in the various activities necessary to start a farm, ranging from the milking of certain animals, such as goats, to the collection of fruits and vegetables from the garden.

The house is a single storey building and has 2 double bedrooms, one with double bed and one with 2 single beds, so it has capacity for 4 people. In addition, the house has the following rooms:

• 2 complete bathrooms, one of them adapted for people with reduced mobility.

• A living room with a table where you can enjoy copious breakfasts and meals and furnished with a comfortable sofa ideal for relaxing and from which you can watch your favorite movies and those of children on television and DVD player or where you lull yourself in front of the heat of the fireplace.

• A kitchen equipped with everything you need to make your stay more comfortable. Among the appliances that have the kitchen are a refrigerator to keep well the farm products, a microwave to make fast food and stoves to make delicious dishes with products from the area.

• A terrace from which the natural park is contemplated and where you can have breakfast quietly watching the awakening natural.

The house also has heating central to pass the cooler seasons with tranquility.

Outside the house is 2 private pool where children can play and enjoy the water.

In the farm we have a space reserved for a farm. In it you can go from feeding the goats to see how we raise the pigs. It is an environment full of animals that roam freely,

The Natural Park Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche is characterized by an immense production of acorn, since it is mostly populated by oaks and cork oaks, which leads to the breeding of Iberian pig. In addition to this animal, birds such as the black stork and the milano can be seen in the Park, protected species that are not easy to find in any ecosystem.

In addition to making different routes through the Natural Park, you can go to visit the village of Cortegana, to which the farm belongs. The main building of this place is the Castle, dating from the late thirteenth century and, was built as part of the defensive line located on the border with Portugal.

Other buildings that are worth seeing in this city are the Parochial Church, which mixes the different artistic styles from the 14th to the 19th century, and another Church of Mudejar style built in the 14th century.
