Our Rural House is found in atienza, a Guadalajara.

It is a very old house, with a lot of history behind it, standing from 1700. Unlike in other cases, where they are rehabilitated and converted constructions in rural accommodation, our house has been hosting tourists since 1915. More than 100 years ago that this house receives people from everywhere, a characteristic site from yesteryear.

In addition, the owners are still the same family, generation after generation, so they are authentic professionals of rural tourism. There you will feel at home, but with the rustic charm and the ancient flavor of the fonda.

It consists of a style construction before, with very thick walls that perfectly isolate the house. Another characteristic element is its strong wooden beams, conserved as far as possible.

The accommodation has a maximum capacity for 15 people, with additional beds, and distributed in 5 rooms.

Guests can also use the rest of the house, in addition to the bedrooms.

There is a living room, with seats and armchairs and a wide window. The target of the walls contrasts with the colored sofas and with the details in different tones of wood. In this room you can use the television or the dvd, but we also have a music chain and even board games. In short, you will not have time to get bored either inside or outside our house.

Another very special stay is the library, with several shelves and sites to sit. It constitutes a perfect place to disconnect from the routine and enjoy a good book. First of all, it is essential to visit and tour atienza, the town where our house is located. This is a very old town, previously called "Tithya": it is known that it was populated by Celtiberos, of whom remains have been found in the necropolis de Cerropozo.

However, the most characteristic of Atienza is his Castillo and the walls that accompany him. It is located in a high rock, at the top of a hill, due to its defensive purpose. Remains of the walls are still preserved, which had numerous doors and arches, such as the war arch, which can still be seen.

All the region and the surroundings are worth each one for some reasons:

• sigüenza, the capital of the diocese of Guadalajara and with the precious Santa María Cathedral.
• Cañón del Río Dulce, some impressive ravines with great views.
• Hayedo de la Tejera Negra, a beautiful beech forest that forms idyllic landscapes depending on the season of the year.
• villages of black architecture, a route of municipalities formed by constructions mostly of slate, which constitute very peculiar sets.
