Casa Rural Irisarri

Our rural accommodation breathes history and tradition, which is why it has been named in the pages of "The House of Navarre" work of the writer Caro Baroja. It is located in the municipality of Salinas de Ibargoiti, within the same Valley Ibargoiti, belonging to the province of Navarra.

It is a XX refurbished in 2011. Despite providing the best equipment, the house still retains remnants of its original structure. This is the case of the arch that presides over the entrance decorated with a coat of arms medieval.

The temperature is balanced in winter thanks to the heating. It has capacity for 10 people, and can be distributed in a total of 4 bedrooms. All of them are double existing with the possibility of incorporating up to 2 extra beds inside some . They are spacious, bright rooms with a bathroom. They are cozy spaces, whose decoration and furniture have been taken care of in detail, combining old elements with others of more modern cut. Lovers of photography will appreciate the beautiful instantaneous exhibited in them, owned by photographer Paco Sada.

What used to be the chicken coop today has been transformed into a comfortable living room equipped with every comfort. The heat of the chimney will favor the talks, the movie sessions in our home cinema or the pair competitions with the Wii console. The staircase separates this room from the dining area. Independent is also the kitchen, very practical and fully equipped.

In the recreation room older and younger will enjoy playing the ping pong or table football. The views from the window are spectacular. Thinking about the moments of reading we also decided to design a space in which to enjoy this pleasure, with a view to the walnut of the garden.

In addition to the interior patio and the terrace on the top floor, the house is surrounded by a garden of 350 m2 that has a porch, in which the barbecues will be the most entertaining.

Salinas de Ibargorri is located in the Valley of Ibargoiti, that incorporates the Sierras of Izco e Izaga. It is a natural place surrounded by forests de beeches and firs, that many years ago saw the birth of the military name Espoz y Mina, exiliado to France after the war of Independecia.

It is also one of the points that make up the "Aragonese Route" of the Camino de Santiago, where each year pass a multitude of pilgrims.

Within walking distance you can visit the Monastery of Leyre and the Castillo de Javier, places of enormous architectural beauty that preserve their structures almost intact.
Due to its geographical location, if you visit our house you can choose between beach or mountain activities. San Sebastían is 45 minutes away and next to the house you will find ski slopes.
