Casa Rural La Herrería

This rural house, covered by stone, will bring you to the Valldemosolitano village of Canalejas de Peñafiel. With a capacity for maximum 10 people, the house has 3 floors habitables plus a cellar.

The house has 3 bedrooms and an attic that is also used as a bedroom.

• Bedroom of Marriage that has access to a balcony y is located on the first floor. It is furnished with a wooden chest of drawers and a wardrobe, as well as bedside tables with their respective lamps. This room was thought for a marriage, since next to it you can place a baby crib.

• Marriage bedroom. It is also located on the first floor, and has tables on each side of the bed and a couple of chairs as complementary furniture. The ceilings in this bedroom are made of wood, like beams.

• Double bedroom. This room has 2 single beds and separated by a bedside table. At the foot of these beds there is a chest and an old washbasin.

• Attic. It has several different spaces without walls in between, that is, it is a diaphanous room. As soon as you climb the stairs you will find a space in front of you as a living room with sofas, chairs and a coffee table. To the left of the space there is a table with chairs, and next to it a double bed and television. On the opposite side there are 2 single beds and a bathroom with bathtub.

On the first floor is the other bathroom, this has shower tray with screen.

On the ground floor of the house there are common areas.

The living room is provided with sofas, television, a coffee table and a fireplace ideal for the cold months. The other, but without moving from the place, is the dining table and a sturdy cupboard.

The kitchen is independent, with another dining table -is smaller in size- and appliances such as washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven or hob; and wooden furniture where you will find the beteria and cooking utensils.

Down the stairs you access an old winery, which today is furnished with a table and old tools.

On the outside of the house there is an interior patio. In it is the barbecue and a wooden table with chairs. On the walls you will see tools of the field, which reminds us of the place where we are.

Canalejas de Peñafiel is a small municipality of Valladolid, which although it does not have large streets or monuments, is just a few kilometers away from large cities.

Valladolid is one of these cities to which we referred. Here you can see from modern buildings, such as the Dome of the Millennium, to old as the building Duke of Lerma -known for the graffiti claims that has its facade-. Also in its streets you will see the Canal de Castilla and palaces and churches.

Segovia and its aqueduct are also within walking distance. If you decide to set course to it go with the empty stomach and try the famous suckling pig.

The Natural Park of Las Hoces del Duratón is 40 kilometers away. The curves that form its bed are a wonder for the eyes.

Other options are Peñafiel, where Castillol, several churches or Plaza del Coso await you. But if you fancy a bit of enoturismo os we recommend going to the different wineries, which makes the wine of the Ribera del Duero.
