Casa Rural La Jara Blanca

At the top of the Leonese town of San Justo de Cabanillas, in the heart of the Bierzo region, is our beautiful home.

Formerly, the building cured the meat from the slaughter and there was a nice canteen, but, after a restoration in which we have fully respected its structure and original materials, stone and wood, today it is a accommodation charming rural, with 2 large floors in which from 2 to 5 people can be accommodated, to enjoy an intimate weekend or a few days with the family.

• Although it does not have a garden, the house makes a fantastic first impression, with an imposing façade whose stones doors and the windows. X

• Upon accessing the interior, you discover a first floor organized around a cozy living room with a fireplace and a kitchen,, very spacious and comfortable, with an integrated dining room.

• In the living room, where the beginning of the staircase that leads to the upper floor is located, there is a comfortable sofa that can be opened so that can sleep on it up to 2 people, a beautiful center table carved in wood, and cabinets with books and informative brochures on the area between board games and a modern television with DVD player.  X

• A very family atmosphere reigns in the room, thanks, in large part, to a practical programmable wood stove. Sheltered by its warmth, there is also a high table with 4 chairs around it.

• In the kitchen the rustic style that follows the walls, with some elements hanging on them, contrasts harmoniously with the subtle elegance of the furniture, carved in wood in white and brown colors. It has integrated dining space, mainly composed of a square table and a large closet where we keep beautiful tablecloths and a cozy tableware. X

• Next to it begin some beautiful countertops with storage space at the bottom, covered by beautiful curtains. Among them are the BAXXS2 and the S1XX WITCHEMENT, surrounded by some BALDAS XPOYADAS on the wall where there are elements of S1xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx, different xxxxx 2xxx for cooking and some S1xxx decorative motifs xxxs2xxx. As part of the furniture, there are useful microwaves, dishwashers, ovens and washing machines, as well as, of course, a large refrigerator. • On the floor of flowers on the towels that we provide, for your exclusive use. On the sides of the bed there are beautiful tables with bedside lamps, on which there is a beautiful vase that gives color and life to the room, and spacious closets. X

• In addition to this double bed and the double sofa bed in the living room, we can enable a comfortable extra bed if necessary, which will also have comfortable bedding and pillow. X

• The only bathroom in the home is located in the interior of this room, and is fully equipped. The intimate toilet is guaranteed with comfortable toilet and sink, with mirror on the wall, as well as a large shower, located next to a nice closet where there are clean towels. X

To the west of the province of León stands out a region of beautiful mountainous landscapes and with wide valleys, moderated by a particular microclimate, with a high-level historical heritage artistic and cultural and a XX gastronomy appreciated and known throughout the country. This is El Bierzo, a land made up of a large number of beautiful towns with traditional houses that maintain a rustic philosophy.

Among the towns in the upper part of Bierzo is San Juan de Cabanillas, one of the districts that make up Noceda. Its few inhabitants, less than 30, enjoy all year round particularly beautiful views of the peaks of the Gistredo mountain range, in which numerous charms are hidden, and whose highest peak, the Catauto, skims the sky at about 2,117 meters altitude. The lands are very fertile, especially those located around the Sil and Boeza rivers, whose beautiful valleys full of vegetation guarantee beautiful excursions among nature.
From San Juan de Cabanillas, where a hermitage and a beautiful church are open to public visits, you can easily reach beautiful places, in addition to discovering towns such as Astorga, Ponferrada or Villafranca del Bierzo, and the beautiful city of León. Some of these places are included in the heritage of the Camino de Santiago.

In the surroundings there are natural sites of such value that they have been declared Biosphere Reserve. The most notable are the Picos de Europa National Park, the Alto Bernesga, Babia or the valleys of Luna and Omaña,, in addition to lakes, such as that of Truchillas, or the landscape of the Sickles of Vegacervera.

One of the most outstanding landscapes in the Bierzo region is Las Médulas, whose origin dates back to the time of the Romans. S2XL
