Casas El Arroyo

The accommodation is located in Canencia, within the province of Madrid, and has 3 houses located on the same property.

Each house has a maximum capacity of 6 people distributed in 2 rooms. They are recently renovated houses, so inside the materials and elements are of high quality and made with modern materials.

Each of the houses are divided into 2 floors. On the ground floor is the large living-dining room space. The floor is made of dark wood-effect ceramic,, which matches the living room furniture. It has a modern sofa next to the wood-burning fireplace ready to be used. There is also a television and access to the patio through a large window.

In this space is located the dining room, which has a wooden table with capacity for 6 diners. There is also furniture and a coffee table to match the other elements of the living room. From this floor you can access the exterior patio of the house.

Next to the living room is the American-style kitchen, which is equipped with ceramic hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine and hood. It also has a breakfast area for greater comfort and has kitchenware, glassware, utensils and kitchen cabinets necessary to feel at home. On the ground floor there is also a toilet. 

On the first floor of the house are the 2 bedrooms. The main one has a 135 cm double bed fully equipped and dressed. The body of the bed is made of solid iron to match the other elements of the environment, such as the wardrobe.
The other room is attic and has 2 single beds of 90cm fully dressed and equipped. On the roof there is a skylight through which you can see the stars at night. For large groups or families, we offer a full sofa bed with capacity for 2 people.

On the floor is the bathroom complete with the toiletries necessary to feel comfortable. We also have a towel set for each guest. For added comfort, the entire house enjoys heating.

In the outdoor patio there are 2 barbecues shared by the guests of the property; one is in the back and the other is on the side of the house. We offer 1 bag of  free firewood for the barbecue and fireplace. In addition, there are granite tables where you can enjoy the barbecue.

All the exterior walls of the house are built with stone, thus preserving the typical rural house style of the area.
Access to the house is paved and signposted. On the standard rate of 4 people, a 15% discount will be made for the family unit, when their children are minors.

The house is located in the Sierra de Madrid, in the town of Canencia. A town with about 500 inhabitants at the foot of Puerto de Canencia, which has more than 1500 meters of altitude.

You can visit the Church of Santa María del Castillo built in the 15th century. In addition to the town square or its 3 medieval bridges where a tourist route circulates.

Thanks to the landscape full of fauna and flora, activities such as mushroom picking, mountain bike rides, climbing, hiking, horseback riding or multi-adventure.

Very close is the Atazar reservoir, where you can carry out activities such as fishing or observing fauna and flora. Rascafría is a very short distance away, there you can visit the Monastery of El Paular or the Church of San Andrés Apóstol. The ski resorts of Valdeesquí are a great place to visit in winter.

Natural Park of the Cumbre, Circus and Lagoons of Peñalara is one of the largest and most beautiful in the Community of Madrid. A place where you can take long walks and observe the local fauna up close.
