Description of Casas Rurales Tía María
In the natural area of Ossa de Montiel (Albacete), and neighboring the Lagunas de Ruidera themselves, this rural house complex stands. With such a privileged position next to the lagoons, it is irresistible to say no to a weekend in the countryside with the family. This set of rural houses is divided into 3 houses, with capacity for 16 people.

In the Rural House 1 up to can stay 6 people, and there are the following rooms:
- A bedroom in which there is a double bed. There is a wooden nightstand on each side, with three drawers each and also bedside lamps. It also has a large wooden closet next to the entrance, with double doors and a couple of low drawers.
- In the second bedroom there are 2 single beds pushed together. On both sides of the mattresses there are night tables, with lighting. Also, on one side there is a wooden closet to store luggage.
- In the third bedroom there is a bunk bed. There is only a nightstand and a lamp, but there are still sockets at the height of both beds to charge electrical devices. The closet is built into the wall, with two dark wooden doors.
- A shared bathroom. It has a large sink, which is on a dark wooden surface, as is the large rectangular mirror framed in the same material. Next are the bidet and the toilet. And at the back is the shower, surrounded by tiled walls in muted brown colors. Next to the same shower, with a transparent screen, there is a window to let the water vapor escape.
- Kitchen the use of dark noble wood predominates for the decoration. In the kitchen we can find all the utensils we need, as well as appliances to preserve and heat food, and also a washing machine and dishwasher.
- Living room. It is a very bright space thanks to the window in front of the dark colored armchairs. On the ceiling you can see the wooden beams of the house and there is a double lamp. There is also a wooden table for half a dozen people where you can eat, watch TV and use a fireplace.
The Casa Rural 2 can accommodate a maximum of 6 people, with access to the following rooms:
- 2 bedrooms, with 2 single beds each. The decoration is rustic in style but with a very careful taste in which wooden elements predominate. Both have plenty of lighting, and are equipped with enough space to store suitcases and clothes.
- Living room there is a double sofa bed, which can be unfolded by removing the coffee table between the sofa and the sofa. It is right in front of the television and the fireplace. There is a double ceiling lamp and another floor lamp next to the furniture.
- A bathroom. As soon as you enter, there is the sink, on a huge wooden cabinet with many doors and spaces to store towels and bathroom supplies. The mirror is large so that several people can use it at the same time, and it is located next to a space excavated in the wall to act as a shelf with glass shelves. The shower has a transparent screen and a couple of shelves for gel, shampoo and conditioner.
- Kitchen. There is plenty of space on the shelves to be able to store household items in an orderly manner, and also some food for breakfast or lunch. It has all the necessary appliances, including the washing machine and the dishwasher. In addition, it includes a small coffee maker. There is also a wooden table for 4 people.
The Casa Rural 3 is somewhat smaller than the others, with room for 4 people. It is composed of:
- 2 bedrooms available with 2 single beds each. The headboards of the bed are made of wood, as is the large closet they include to store clothes and shoes. On both sides of the beds there are nightstands with small lamps, and the windows have views of the mountain.
- T stands with a round table and a pair of black armchairs, plus a pair of narrow cabinets in the corners to store hiking supplies.
- A shared bathroom, smaller than in the other houses. It has a dark wooden cabinet under the sink, and next to it, the toilet and a window. In turn, next to this is the shower with transparent glass doors and tile walls.
- Living room-kitchen. The kitchen area has wooden cabinets above the ceramic hob and next to the extractor hood. You can also use the coffee maker and microwave, and then have breakfast in the living room area that has two gray and blue sofas, watching the morning news on the television. At night you can use the fireplace next to the television.

This house has space for a maximum of 6 people. It has 3 bedrooms: in the first we have a double bed ; the second bedroom consists of 2 single beds, one next to the other; in the third bedroom there is a bunk bed. The house is a duplex with:
- Room. It is a very bright room. You can also make dining room thanks to the large wooden table and chairs by the window. It has several sofas to watch the television and the fire of the fireplace burning.
- Kitchen is also spacious and bright, with plenty of wooden cabinets to store your necessities. It is equipped with all the comforts to make any type of dish, and especially breakfast thanks to the coffee maker and microwave. If not, you can also cook delicious dishes on the glass-ceramic, and make leftovers for several days by keeping them in the refrigerator.
- A spacious bathroom so that at least a couple of people can enter and use it at the same time. The sink is under a large rectangular mirror, and under this there is a wooden cabinet in which you can store towels and bathroom utensils. There is a bidet and toilet, and a shower by the window, with a transparent screen.

- Living room: has two armchairs, one of which is a double sofa bed. It's right next to the TV and the fireplace.
- Kitchen: it has a large number of wooden cabinets and shelves that contain the kitchenware and space to leave food for breakfasts that you need to keep at room temperature. You can do the laundry and wash the avocados quickly thanks to the washing machine and the dishwasher. There is a coffee maker and microwave for breakfast, and a table for 4 to sit at in the morning.
- A bathroom. It has several pieces of furniture in which to store bath items and towels. The mirror is large and rectangular. The shower is covered with tiles and has a space for the gel, shampoo and conditioner.

Sourroundings of Casas Rurales Tía María
These houses are the ideal place to settle while doing the Don Quixote Route, as they are close to many of the most symbolic locations in Cervantes' novel. A few kilometers by car are: the Casa de Medrano in Argamasilla de Alba, the place where Don Quixote began to be forged; or the Cueva de Montesinos, place where the character has a revealing dream in the second part of the work.
Additionally, near this cave is the Rochafrida Castle. It is a construction of Muslim origin from the 11th century, about which, by the way, numerous romances have been written. Speaking of castles, you can also visit the Castillo de Peñarroya, also of Muslim origin. It is said that an image of the Virgin was found inside, and that is why a small hermitage was built inside in honor of the Virgin of Peñarroya.
For a more involved adventure with nature, you can visit the Lagunas de Ruidera Natural Park, which also offers many activities, including guided routes, mushroom picking or trekking.
