Casona La Mies

In Selaya, in the heart of Cantabria, we find this discreet and imposing mountain style house, restored, on a farm of 8 hectares. With the landscape of the valleys pasiegos and the Oriental Mountain as a frame, the house offers to make you spend a relaxing stay with everything you need at your fingertips.

The house, in its construction and decoration, respects its rustic origin and architecture style of Cantabria, but it contains all modern appliances and gadgets so that nothing is missing.

The house has 2 floors, in which are distributed 5 bedrooms: one on the ground floor, with 2 single beds, and 4 on the top floor, 3 with double bed and the remaining with 2 single beds ; 3 of the superior rooms have a balcony with valley views. In this way, up to 10 people have a place in the accommodation, in an ideal distribution for families or groups of couples.

Returning to the ground floor, we find the common areas where life will develop in the house. We have a kitchen, fully equipped and with all the necessary utensils and cutlery, and a dining room integrated, with a large table and several chairs, enough for all the guests.

On the same level is the room, a cozy and collected space, with a wood fireplace chairing it and a television flat screen, to ensure a means of entertainment inside the house, when you do not want go out. Complete the stays a large entrance to the house.

We have 3 bathrooms, distributed on two floors of the house: the 2 bathrooms on the top floor have a shower, and the lower floor also has a jacuzzi, which makes it very attractive to achieve optimal relaxation.

The outer space that surrounds the house is occupied by a parking lot of good size and a large garden, in which there is installed a barbecue, to organize meals outdoors, with a beautiful landscape in the background.

Selaya, in spite of being a quiet town, has all services that can be desired in a locality, and its location, practically in the center of Cantabria, is perfect for those who have proposed to visit the most of the interior and the coast of the region.

The Cabárceno Nature Park is only 16 kilometers away, so in a car ride can be found in this beautiful landscape naturalized by man, where a hundred animal species coexist in semi-liberty .

Santander and its beaches are 36 kilometers away, and you should not miss its architectural monuments, such as the Palacio de la Magdalena, and its many tourist attractions.

Following the coast line to the west we will finish at Santillana del Mar, whose streets and buildings have great beauty and tradition; must be taken advantage of to visit the Altamira Caves and the Museum, in the locality.

After Santillana del Mar we can find Comillas, a city full of history reflected in its buildings, and with good beaches. San Vicente de la Barquera is the next stop, and from this fishing village you do not have to pass without tasting the excellence of its seafood gastronomy.

It is recommended to visit the Cueva del Soplao, 45 minutes from the house, an incredible geological formation, where the colors and shapes of the speleothems conjugate to give rise to a impressive underground landscape.
