Cortijo Los Castillejos

This cortijo, organized as a rural house for a maximum of 20 people, is located in the village of Monesterio, in Badajoz. The house is part of an old building, which has been restored, has been fully equipped.

Between 12 and 20 people fit in this Extremadura farm distributed in several rooms, since the farmhouse has:

• 2 double rooms with double bed.
• 4 double rooms with single beds.
• 1 multiple room, with bunk beds, where several people can fit.

In addition to the bedrooms, the house has a great room furnished three large sofas where all tenants can relax around the fireplace .

Cortijo Los Castillejos also has a fully equipped and spacious kitchen.

Two patios complete the house, a front one, of 300 m2 and with vegetation; and another central of 400 m2. In this, there is a porch with a barbecue, to be able to enjoy the possibility of eating and having dinner outdoors.

La farm, of 550 hectares, is populated by holm oaks and through which two streams run. In addition, it is a place where large numbers of animals are raised: pigs and cows. We make available to customers the possibility of visiting the animals and learn from their breeding.

This huge estate, in the province of Badajoz, is surrounded by a great diversity of urban centers and natural landscapes.

The municipality closest to the cortijo is Monesterio, a town in Extremadura that has mainly religious monuments. Among them, the Parish of San Pedro, an 18th century construction. It is also interesting the Hermitage of the Virgin of Tentudía, mid-XX. In addition, this town is known for the amount of crosses that occupy its streets, different sculptures of different sizes that show different saints and martyrs.

In addition to Extremadura landscapes, you can visit the site of Castillejos, which has elements from both the Roman and Iron Age.
