Días de Luna

This rural accommodation is a old house from the beginning of the last century in Asturias y that was previously a school.

With the idea of ​​not leaving this building in oblivion and taking advantage of the charm it gives off, it was decided, in the year 1997, reform it to turn it into the rural house that it is today.

This house has been able to maintain its essence thanks to the main materials that compose it, such as the stone, the slate, the brick and, of course, the wood. All of them are originals and have been rejuvenated thanks to a process -no aggressive with the environment- of rehabilitation.

The house has capacity to host up to 40 people in their 17 rooms. Most of them are double although some have triple y capacity, in addition, there is a family bedroom where they enter 5 people.

All the bedrooms have a private bathroom complete -with organic toiletries-, and also have heating to make your stay more enjoyable. All of them are distributed in 2 floors, except the adapted room for people with reduced mobility, which is in the ground floor.

For all the tenants of the house there is a series of common areas such as:

• A room in which there is a fireplace presiding, and to which surround a series of comfortable sofas.

• An area of ​​ library with information of this Asturian area.

• A dining room, where the breakfasts are served each morning, as well as the service meals.

• A classroom with capacity for more or less 25 people, and where courses, meetings, ... and that comes equipped with blackboard, projector, television with video and DVD, as well as with overhead projector.

But these are not the only ones, since there is a game area where the TV is, and several common areas in the outside the house. One of them is the garden, which has several outdoor tables, as well as a table tennis table where to spend it in great, the mythical game of the frog and also a space to play petanca.

And if what you want is to relax here, there is a Finnish sauna available where you can forget about day-to-day problems, hustle and bustle, and where you will dedicate yourself completely to yourself.

The house also has an area of ​​ private parking.

This house is located in the nature reserve Valle de Luna and Babia, which you can meet riding some of the bikes available for free in the rural house. Stroll along the River Luna or ascend, if you can, the 1,150 meters to the highest peak of its mountains, which are covered with snow in the cold months.

This area is perfect also for ya trekking lovers who have the Route of the Brañas de Caldas or the Route of the Cordel de Merinas, as well as for those who like climbing.

Being halfway between the cities of Oviedo and Leon, it opens the range of possibilities when it comes to sightseeing: either go to the capital of the principality, or get to León.
