El arroyo de la Plata I

The rural lodging that we present here is located in the Salamantino municipality of La Calzada de Béjar. It is an old house that draws attention for its spectacular stone facade.

It consists of 2 floors and designed to accommodate a maximum of 8 people.

For this, it has 3 quite spacious rooms. Two of them with 2 single beds each and a large private terrace where there is furniture for relaxation. Located on the top floor, they allow views of the countryside.

The other room is equipped with a double bed, a chest of drawers and some useful old decoration. Although it has no terrace if it has a large window from which you can also contemplate the views.

The accommodation capacity is completed thanks to a sofa bed located in the living room. Among them they share 2 bathrooms.

The kitchen, living room and dining room are communicated on the ground floor. They are areas with a more rustic style. As well as having old furniture that we have restored, we have decorated it with different elements that were formerly used for agriculture and livestock.

There you will find a long dining table with benches, a wood burning fireplace and television. And in the kitchen, despite its apparent rural style, are all the appliances you need. Among which we can highlight washing machine or dishwasher.

One of the most charming areas of this rural house is the patio that is at the entrance. Preserving its stone walls and with a tree inside it offers a unique place for rest and meals during good weather. There is also a barbecue.

We have a second house, El arroyo de la Playa II, for 5 people.

Our rural house is part of the Sierra de Béjar, specifically in the municipality of La Calzada de Béjar, where they do not reach 100 inhabitants. It belongs to Salamanca, but also limits with Cáceres. So it is a great place to make different routes to both places.

Béjar is the closest municipality and also the most outstanding for the amount of historical complexes to visit. Between those that emphasize the medieval wall or the palace of the Zuñiga, also known like Ducal Palace. As well as the churches of San Juan Bautista, El Salvador or Santa María la Mayor.

And we can also enjoy during the winter of spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada and the ski resort La Covatilla.
