El Cañico

This rural house is located in the town of Otero de Bodas, in the province of Zamora. It has been built on a old house, with more than 200 years of history. At that time it was inhabited by a family from the area, and currently it has been rehabilitated as rural housing.

In its restoration, respected the exterior construction, made of stone and some wooden elements. The interior has been equipped with all the necessary comforts so that the atmosphere is pleasant.

The furniture finishes are all in dark or light wood,, which integrates perfectly with the aesthetic of the construction. In addition, the ceilings are all made of wood, some with sloping ceilings, and there are walls that retain the same stone as the exterior.

The house has the capacity to accommodate 10 people, divided into its 5 rooms. It is designed for families or groups of friends, since the rental mode offered is for the entire home.

• 2 double rooms, furnished with 2 single beds.

• 2 shared bathrooms. Fully equipped and renovated in a modern style.

• Very large and comfortable dining room, which has a fireplace, television and DVD player.

• Modernized kitchen without losing the rustic style that characterizes the house, and equipped with the necessary electrical appliances.

The house also offers heating, bed linen and towel service, and a courtesy telephone.

Outside, the house has a large enclosed patio, which is why it is especially recommended for families with children or pets, who will be able to enjoy the sensation of freedom in a safe environment. Inside the patio there is a barbecue available to guests, and a private parking area with capacity for any type of vehicle.

In the surroundings of the house there are natural areas where it is possible to carry out all kinds of adventure activities such as hiking, cycling routes, wildlife sightings or seasonal activities such as mushroom and chestnut picking.

The Sanabria Lake and the Villafáfila Lagoons are two of the areas that offer this type of activity. They are also places of incomparable beauty, where you can enjoy a simple walk admiring the views.

Also, in the surroundings of the town it is possible to make cultural visits to interesting places such as the Roman camp of Petavonium or the bellows factory. And within the town it is essential to do a night route through its historic center.
