El Casot

The Casot is located in the vicinity of the town of Amer. Although it belongs to him, it is on the outskirts of its urban area, surrounded by mountains and a lot of nature.

The house is about 200 square meters that are distributed by 2 floors. Built from stone and recently renovated to add the latest amenities.

It has 4 bedrooms that are located on the top floor. All of them are double, so the capacity of the house is 8 people, but it can be extended to 9 thanks to an extra bed. All these bedrooms have their personal bathroom.

And on the ground floor we find the following spaces:

• A living room with several sofas, television, small library, stereo and games for children and adults.
• A dining room with a long table for 12 people, a large fireplace, stone walls and decorated with tools used in the past.
• A large rustic style kitchen with the respective modern appliances, aXX wood oven and many other utensils that are old even in perfect condition
• A room reserved for storing cleaning supplies and where the washing machine is located.
• A small toilet for visitors.

For its part, the exterior is composed of:

• A pool of 12 meters long surrounded by lawn and with sun loungers.
• A porch equipped for 10 people.
• A space with barbecue and the corresponding garden furniture.

As well as a garden, a chicken coop and parking.

In this rural house we are committed to take care of the environment. And for that reason, in addition to using solar panels to supply it with energy, we have incorporated different elements that moderate the consumption and installed a system where to throw the organic remains that will be reused as fertilizer.

Our rural house is just 1 kilometer from the town of Amer. is inside a valley dominated by oaks and chestnut trees and has a volcanic origin. Also crossed by the Brugent River.

There you can visit the old station where the railway that covered the route of Girona with Olot stopped. As access the monastery of Santa Maria, where the Benedictines were living since the tenth century and from where they ruled the place.

You can also go to the ethnological museum of Lluis Sidera, which used to be the towers of Can Terme, Rocasalva and San Clemente.
