El Chalet de Rascafría

Welcome to the Sierra de Guadarrama and to our accommodation where you can enjoy nature, the peace and tranquility that is experienced in this area of ​​Madrid, but above all from the hospitality and comfort so necessary on your getaways. weekend or vacation.

The accommodation is located a few meters from the Plaza Mayor of Rascafría, so you will have access to the main restaurants and services of the town such as shops or supermarkets, but always from a secluded corner where you can be at ease and at your leisure. air.

Our chalet has capacity for 6 people, so it is perfect to come with your family.

It is completely independent and has a large garden of which we are proud, the jewel of the accommodation; You can enjoy its large meadow where children can run safely, play outdoor games if you do it with friends or simply enjoy lunch or dinner prepared on a wonderful barbecue. Other things that you will find in our garden are a slender cherry tree, flowers, a playhouse, a goal to play soccer and also chairs and tables to accompany the aforementioned barbecue.

The house has inside 3 rooms with bedding. A double room, another with 2 single beds and the 3rd with a bunk bed. A travel cot is also available if you need it.

There is a complete bathroom, we leave it well equipped so that you do not need to bring anything from home: gel and shampoo, hairdryer (hand) and of course shower and hand towels.

The living room is spacious. The best thing is that it has a fireplace to enjoy the fire in the coldest months of the Madrid mountains. We include the firewood for free. It also has television with HDI cable in case you bring a playback gadget and there is wi-fi throughout the chalet.

You will find the kitchen fully equipped both in terms of kitchenware and appliances. You have 3 types of coffee makers for breakfast, a juicer for juice and a toaster. Also all the usual appliances in your house such as the washing machine, the dishwasher (dishes are not washed on vacation), oven, microwave and a mixer. We also wanted to have a detail for the children by also making tableware with children's motifs and a high chair available to the traveler. Obviously we also have tableware for adults.

All the windows of the house and rooms have mosquito nets, to guarantee rest in summer and in winter we use oil heating to make it a comfortable home.

The population of Rascafría, as well as the surrounding towns, are rich in points of interest, restaurants, museums, as well as sports activities in any season of the year. From the Sierra de Guadarrama you can enjoy the entire range of colors that nature gives us, depending on the time of year you decide to visit us.

We recommend you visit the town and the town hall square due to their proximity to the accommodation.

There is a wide range of hiking routes that can be done from the chalet. One of the most famous and beautiful in the route through the Finnish Forest, but there are others that you can do such as the walk along the Devil's Cart trail, the climb to Peñalara or the excursion to the Millenary Yew Tree and many more.

You can also do other activities that are a little more sporting, such as canoe rental, horseback riding or paragliding in the Lozoya Valley.

The most common visit is to the Monastery of Santa María de El Paular (there are people who stay for this reason), although there are many other charming places not so well known to tourists.

We have the Valdesquí station located less than 30 minutes by car, so if that is your final destination it will also be close by.
