El Paller I

Surrounded by nature is this beautiful holiday home located in the surroundings of the Girones municipality of Porqueres. A traditional Catalan farmhouse built in the seventeenth century and renovated in its entirety to adapt their spaces to the needs of current homes.

In the restoration it was decided to respect the mediterranean forest that forms the environment of the farm, that is why its exterior spaces are totally acclimated to the landscape.

Its interior houses warm and comfortable rooms in which the stone walls and wooden beam ceilings prevail. It is distributed in 2 floors, the second being the floor reserved for bedrooms. Two of them equipped with a double bed and a third with two single beds. Its ceilings are attic and from the windows there are views of the garden .

On the ground floor are the rest of common areas. The chimney presides a multifunctional room without walls in which there is space for the dining table, wooden stools and sofas and in the back the kitchen.

Rest and leisure is possible in the Masia, as its interior is enabled with a zone for games where the billiards, el foosball and even a table of ping pong. And for the little ones a small corner con games y a blackboard was enabled in which to fan your creativity.

The exterior is designed for the enjoyment of adults and children, so we wanted to not miss the pool y the swings, the barbecue area and various tables and stone benches scattered around the garden for the moments of talks and reading .

In the vicinity of the farmhouse you will find trails that will lead you to historical places such as the remains of Church of St Quirze and Sta Julita. On the way back you can refresh yourself at the Merlant fountain, with fresh water and very good quality that caters to the locals.a

The views of the area are spectacular from the top of Mirador de Sant Miquel.

Another option is the visit to Banyoles, a city that still retains part of its wall y in which it is nice to walk until you reach the Plaza Mayor, surrounded by arcades where you can taste the typical pastries of the region as the cakes o the chocolate rocks.
