El Paller II

A charming holiday accommodation located in the vicinity of the village of Porqueres. Its structure resembles traditional Catalan farmhouses and even though it was built in the seventeenth century its spaces have been renovated at present to adapt to the needs actuales.

Looking for the essence of El Paller, we decided to condition the outdoor space, bearing in mind the Mediterranean forest that surrounds the finca.

A path that winds along a mantle of grass leads us towards the house. A small porch with table and chairs welcomes us. Distributed on two levels, the house is built in stone and designed to maximize natural light, hence its rooms have large wooden windows in which to contemplate the garden with different plantaciones.

Warmth and comfort are characteristic attributes of its spaces, distributed in two floors connected by a spiral staircase. The kitchen-dining room is a practical space where you can have lunch or enjoy a siesta on your sofas in the warmth of the fireplace. A family home, which has 2 bedrooms to house 4 people.

Relax and have fun is possible in the farmhouse, as its interior features a games room where you will find a pool table, a foosball table and even a ping pong table. And for the little ones a small corner with games and a blackboard was set up in which to stimulate their creativity.

The exterior is designed for the enjoyment of the whole family, as it is equipped with a pool with slide and swings. Nothing better in spring and prepare una barbecue and enjoy long talks on the stone benches that decorate garden el.

In the vicinity of the farmhouse you will find trails that will lead you to historical places such as the remains of Church of St Quirze and Sta Julita. On the way back you can refresh yourself at the Merlant fountain, with fresh water and very good quality that caters to the locals.
