El Palomar

The rural house is located in the municipality of Alhama de Murcia, which, as its name indicates, belongs to the Murcian lands.
It is an old dovecote, hence its name, which we wanted to restore to turn it into a space that has all the comforts to accommodate you in great detail.

It is presented as a tower, whose facade in a reddish tone can be seen from the most natural areas that surround it, since it is far from the urban area. It consists of several floors, conditioned to accommodate a maximum of 5 people who, without a doubt, will feel at home.
The stays are distributed as follows:

• A dining room, located in what was formerly a cave and that today is presented as one of the meeting spaces preferred by those who visit us. It consists of a wooden table, very robust and chairs of the same material. It will be here where you taste the typical dishes of Murcia.

• A room, perfectly prepared for rest in which we have included several sofas, specifically 3, that form a "U", surrounding the wooden auxiliary table and all of them oriented to the television. Above all, the space is crowned by the wooden covered ceilings, like the floor, which gives a very pleasant rustic touch. Finally, and to heat the house when it is very cold, there is a wood-burning fireplace for which we include the logs that fan the fire. It is a very bright room, since one of its walls, in which you can see the stone, opens a large window that lets in natural light into this pleasant room.

• A kitchen that we have decorated with a front of tiles in white and blue and that is elongated. In its furniture, all in the lower part, you will find the utensils you need for this room, which is equipped in terms of appliances. Another essential component in this kitchen is the spiral staircase, where you can access the upper floors.

• A perfectly decorated bathroom with all its details cared for. With a washbasin cabinet lined with orange tiles, which combines perfectly with the tone of the sink. You will find here the bathtub, the mirror and the other toilets. We include for your comfort, towel sets.

• 2 bedrooms of which; one is the of marriage, and it is in the highest part of the house. It consists of wooden ceilings and floors and the bedding is included; In addition, a wooden wardrobe will be very useful for storing clothes. The other bedroom, in the lower part, has 3 single beds in which the headboards are especially striking. The walls, in green, provide warmth and comfort.

Outside, for its part, there is a poche with outdoor furniture that opens to the garden where there is a pool and barbecue that will make you spend a fun stay.

Alhama de Murcia is the Murcian municipality where our rural accommodation is located.
As for the natural environment, mountains are combined from which to observe the plains areas where the fields of wine production proliferate, which is a tradition in the area.
The Sierra de Espuña, which rises above this municipality, is one of the areas where you can take hiking routes to walk through the profile of this area of ​​Spain. The coexistence between the species of fauna and flora that grow in these lands stands out here.
As for the most cultural part, there are different monuments to see; all of them with a special charm that is given by the old Muslim communities that inhabited the southern area and of which some elements are preserved; Proof of this is the Castillo de Alhama, located in one of the highest parts of the relief and which, in its day, functioned as a strategic point of the wall with the Kingdom of Granada.
