El Querol Vell

Our rural house is a traditional Catalan farmhouse, located in Borredà (Barcelona). It is a large building, consisting of 7 rooms between which you can choose.

It is an old building, built in the XIV century. It has undergone a scrupulous restoration process and is now open to the public as rural accommodation. Most of the facade is made of stone and the different windows finish composing their appearance. All of them are finished in wood, some are smaller, others are wide windows and others are balconies with arch. In short, the 3 buildings, which are joined together, form a beautiful historical set.

Its exterior is in keeping with the majesty of the house. A extensive garden extends throughout the plot, with trees and flowers everywhere. The lawn is interrupted only by bucolic stone paths that lead the way to the different zones. One of them is the pérgola: a wood and fabric structure with latticed columns. Below is a table with benches and chairs so that guests can rest and gather.

On this farm, there are 2 outdoor terraces in the central part of the building. Â One of them is on the ground floor, at the entrance of the house. It has garden furniture in wood and umbrellas to shelter from the sun while still enjoying the patio. The other one is on the top floor. It has a covered part and another part uncovered. From there you can see some incredible views, a mountain landscape covered with forests and a panoramic view of the town. However, throughout the patio there are scattered sofas, benches and armchairs so you can discover all the corners of our accommodation.

But the careful garden, the vegetation and the terraces is not the only thing you can enjoy in our house. There are many options for children to play and be entertained:

• Swings with slide.
• Toy house.
• Soccer.
• Table of ping-pong.
• Toys varied.
• Wooden trellis. A particularity of this house is its farm. In the plot, there is an area with pens and cages that keep animals: rabbits, goats ... In this way we want the user's connection with the place and its involvement with the environment to be total. Especially the children are the ones who most enjoy this service and, in addition to playing, they learn to respect nature and its fauna.
  
  Inside the original structure and distribution is maintained. There is a total of more than 300 square meters between all common areas, which have that rustic atmosphere and very cozy. There are several rooms, offering the maximum comfort:
  
  
  • Room with TV and DVD, with movies for all ages.
  • Room for table games.
  • Reading room, with a large library and an extensive variety of books.
  • Living room with fireplace.
  • Computer room, although there is Wi-Fi throughout the house. There is the possibility of eating at the hotel, since there is restaurant for exclusive use for clients. The menu consists of traditional dishes, but modernized and adapted to the latest cuisine. Of course, if food is necessary with some type of peculiarity, special care is taken so that all the guests are satisfied. If you like gastronomy, here you can taste, not only exquisite meals, but a select variety of wines and cavas, another point to fall in love with the place. If you wish, you can order a picnic and take it wherever you want.

The municipality of Borredá is located in the comarca of Berguedá. In it, you can visit Romanesque and baroque churches, or walk through its streets, in a beautiful enclave surrounded by green. You can also visit the Poza del Salto, with an impressive waterfall of 20 meters and a natural pool.

The area of ​​the Bergueda is suitable for the trekking. There are many routes to follow on foot, such as the Camino de los Hombres Buenos. You can also go to the Baells Marsh.

If you like the mountain and you dare with more, this region is known as "La Puerta del Pirineo". You can find the saws of Verd or Cadí.
