El Teixell

The most sophisticated rural tourism takes us to El Teixell, an elegant country house surrounded by forest that is located near the Barcelona municipality of Olost del Lluçanès, less than an hour and a half from the provincial capital.

This house dates from 1910, it was rehabilitated in 1992, and has 3 double rooms, and one quadruple, all of them with stone walls.
The house also has 4 toilets, 2 living rooms, a dining room and a large kitchen with a large dining table. In the kitchen there is a dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster, juicer and 3 coffeemakers.
It should be noted that the set is completed with a large covered porch with complete furniture and barbecue.

There is also the fireplace, television, stories for the little ones, towels, bedding or books with information about the area for the most curious.
Remarkable is the extensive area of ​​ 3000 m² that it has in the front, perfect if you go with children or if you want to have family gatherings or contemplate the sky at night.

To top it off, it has a beautiful pool fenced surrounded by greenery in case you want to take a dip or sunbathe.
You will be amazed by the tranquility of the night and the beauty of the surrounding forests and fields.
The closest town is 4 km away, and there you will find everything you may need during your stay: butcher shop, supermarket, winery, kiosk, pharmacy, banks, restaurants ...

The most common are the walks through the different routes and trails that exist in the surroundings, where you can find holm oaks, oaks, pines, aromatic plants, mushrooms or fruits of the forest such as blueberries or blackberries.
Other places of interest are:

• The cathedral of Santa María de Olost, from the end of the 18th century. The most notable are the 2 bell towers and the stained glass windows.
• The interpretation center Perot Rocaguinarda, bandit of the XVI century of the area
• The cloister of Lluçà.
• The Episcopal Museum of Vic, founded in 1891 to collect and preserve the artistic heritage of the area.

As for gastronomy, it is worth highlighting the Fonda Sala de Olost, which has a Michelin star.
Certain festivals and fairs are also worth mentioning, such as the Perot Rocaguinarda Fair, which takes place the first week of November, as well as the Olost Festival, which takes place every August 15.
