Azcona is a small Navarran town of 84 inhabitants located in the Yerri Valley. In this town you can see the palace of Azcona, a medieval building renovated in the seventeenth century and many large houses of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. It is surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and fields of cereals that are the sustenance of this population and the other villages of the valley.

One of the limits of the valley is the Sierra de Andía, a plateau with few undulations that, together with the Sierra de Urbasa forms the Urbasa-Andía Natural Park. This park is full of forests, rivers and mountains that make very special corners. One of these corners is the nacedero of the Urederra, a waterfall that falls into a haven of spectacular color.

Near this area is the Sierra de Aralar, a massif of hills, chasms and caves, very striking for all cavers. One of the routes that can be done in this area is the climb to Pico Txindoki, a limestone peak that makes its slope a steep area ideal for mountaineers.
